This hotel is a sparkling jewel on the south coast of Lake Lucerne. The team that runs it is incredibly welcoming and will do whatever they can to make sure you are comfortable. In my case I was joining a small work conference and the team make sure we had everything we needed for a productive day. The package they offer for this is quite reasonable and comes highly recommended. I extend my thanks to Gabrielle and Daniel for a terrific stay. I hope and plan to return at a future date for a personal stay!
Cosy boutique hotel where you immediately feel like at home. The staff is very attentive. Includes an excellent restaurant for dinner. Note that the restaurant is not open every day, take a walk to restaurants at the lake side, about 10-15 min.
The room was very spacious and original with the bathtube directly included into the room. So special and romantic ! The owner and employees were so nice and helpful, it felt like home. I would highly recommend to enjoy dinner at their restaurant, they offered to start with a homemade cocktail in the cosy garden and we enjoyed then their delicious dinner almost like a gastronomic restaurant. Perfect for a romantic getaway !
If you are in the Lucern area a trip to the Hotel Schlussel in Beckenried is a must. You will be greeted with an old world style of warmth and hospitality by hosts, Gabrielle and Dani Aschwanden-Huber. It is hard to express the attention to detail managed by the hosts and their staff. My recent visit there was one of many and with each the experience memorable and satisfying in every respect. If a weekend retreat is what you are looking for you'll discover the uniqueness of every room charming and comfortable in ways you can't imagine. There are no menus but rest assured the food is prepared in a way that every need by patrons is met by the chef. Wine is paired with each course and service is perfectly timed for a complete and satisfying dining experience. Views of Lake Lucern are magnificent from every room and if it's your first visit to the area helpful tips for sightseeing and outdoor activities are available.…
This is a fantastic and very charming boutique hotel. Everything was spotless from arrival to departure. Very friendly staff, great & clean rooms, love to detail and a general feeling of being really welcome here. Excellent value for money - will certainly be back when I am in the region again. Only drawback was that I was here with colleagues and not my family ;-)
Had a one night stop on our way south. Unfortunately the weather was horrendous but this small hotel was lovely. A nice big room. A coffee station for guests. A complimentary liquor in the room . Breakfast was great. No food on Sunday night but they booked us a lovely restaurant for dinner. No air con but this is the case in most family run places. I would be pleased to come back.
Definitely one of the best boutique hotels I have been to. The staff, owners and all involved were always super helpful and friendly. Rooms were spotless and the breakfast was a feast of the local regional selection. Dinner was to die for and lives up to the Michelin logo on the front of the hotel, all the food was fresh, regional and biological. The hotel is super quirky and has an old nostalgic feel whilst still being modern. The shared coffee, beer, tea (or whatever you want) area is very clever with little terraces on the higher levels. The rooms cater for all different types of people, with each designed individually! I am very impressed at Danni, his wife and his team and I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to explore this beautiful part of Switzerland!
What a delightful spot this really is! Situated 15 mins walk from the village of Beckenried, up the hill towards the highway (but not disturbed by it in any way) sits the Schluessel B&B. The views are amazing over Lake Lucerne and the scattered pretty village houses below. We had Room 7 (in the upper house) which is spacious, quiet and very comfortable. Parking was also available close by. The breakfasts were super; lots of choice and with a lake view thrown in to start off your day! We took dinner here one evening which was cooked by Daniel (the owner) - classical & very lovely indeed. Certainly the best Swiss food we encountered on our trip. All the staff; Katya & Stephanie in particular were great and always so very helpful. We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed our walks into the village (three restaurants, a small supermarket, a few cafes, some lovely houses and a boat stop to various towns on the lake). Charming really. Lucerne itself was absolutely worth a visit. Take the boat rather than the car - it’s about CHF 50 return but a great way to arrive & see the City & the Lake. Overall, a lovely stay and one we would happily repeat in the near future. Thank you very much for such warm hospitality.…
I absolutely loved this hotel! The room was huge and very clean and I thought the restaurant was very cool and cozy. I really loved that they had a tap outside of the rooms to have fresh drinking water and the breakfast was exceptional. I would definitely return!
We had two rooms for a night. We chose the hotel via Trip Advisor based on the high reviews - and we were not disappointed. First to know that this area is absolutely beautiful. The town is on the edge of the lake and the area is breathtaking. (This is our first visit to the region). As we drove up to the hotel - we were greeted on the street by a young teen who we later learned lives in the neighborhood. He directed our parking. We were soon met by the owner who brought us into the reception area where we were offered liquid refreshments which were welcome after a long drive. We then went to our rooms. They were stunning, beautifully decorated and comfortable. Bright and cheery. There was a coffee station on the landing for the three rooms in our building. We decided to eat dinner out to see the town and were directed to a restaurant on the lake with a view and tasty food. No complaints! We slept well in the comfortable beds. I woke up briefly and could even hear a cow bell in the distance! Breakfast was included and we enjoyed specialty coffees, eggs and bacon, regional cheese, cereal and breads. I wish that everywhere we stay was as pleasureable as this hotel.…
