A delicious game arrangement experienced in Ros van Twente. Very friendly welcome from the owner. The English-style hotel was beautifully decorated in Christmas atmosphere. We felt right at home. The food was exquisite and the service was attentive without being intrusive. Rich breakfast buffet completed the stay. Our compliments!

Stayed with colleagues for four days and worked on a project. Unparalleled hospitality where Anita and John and their team do everything they can to provide maximum support to our stay and hard work. A nice environment, delicious food, excellent meeting facilities and a beautiful room with a good bed for some much-needed rest after work. Even during late hours we could count on their service to strengthen our inner self so that we could fully concentrate on our task. Thank you very much!

Had a family dinner with brothers and sisters at Ros van Twente. The rooms were beautifully decorated in a classic style and very comfortable. Wonderful beds and spacious rooms. Dinner was exceptionally good and the (house) wines were excellent. Highly recommended.

Friendly and helpful staff. Although we had not yet decided whether we wanted to dine there, we were kindly requested to do so somewhere else. They were very full. After returning from a delicious dinner that GIANT was not so bad (in our opinion)
Very dated room with lots of dead flies in the window.
Even after removing the throw pillows there were 4 dead animals underneath.
Breakfast was good.

Despite the dated rooms that apparently had not been checked before arrival for dead animals we found the accommodation pricey for what to get!

The hotel would have four stars, but there is no minibar, no safe, no refrigerator and no air conditioning in the room. The bathroom and other furnishings are in urgent need of renovation. Upon arrival we were told that we can eat a la carte. So it turned out not to be possible to take or leave three courses, with at most a piece of fish instead of meat. No extra vegetables, a few small new potatoes and an unidentifiable sauce. If you dare to make a comment during checkout, you will receive a downright unfriendly answer. The surroundings are beautiful, but this hotel is absolutely not worth the price. "Faded glory" is the only description that fits.

Excellent location! Such a stunning environment to explore in our case on a horseback. We enjoyed our trip very much and in particular the amazing breakfast and scenery. The rooms are very spacious and the crew very friendly

We stayed at Hotel Het Ros van Twente for one night during a business trip.
The rooms are clean and large and offered everything you need for a one night stay.

The hotel is located on the outskirts of a small rural town and has a beautiful large garden that is so peaceful - a wonderful way to start the day with a 10-15 minutes walk in it.

Breakfast is rich and really tasty and the staff is welcoming and warm. If you are in the area and looking for a nice place with authentic atmosphere - this is the place for you!

We stayed for 2 nights to celebrate my birthday. From the first night, the kitchen sent out dish after dish of amazing food. The cuisine was local, seasonal and well-prepared. A feast for your mouth and eyes. Willem and his young but well-trained staff were the perfect mix of charm, friendliness and yet still being knowledgable about food and wine. None of that pretentious cooking we find in the Randstad, just pure ingredients cooked in incredibly imaginative combinations. The lounge and dining areas are extremely cosy and I was tempted to just sit and hang out in front of the fireplace with my partner for the whole weekend but unfortunately our dog (yes, dog friendly establishment too!) did not agree. The estate is located near wonderful parks and reservations. Do make use of that if you love to walk/bike.
All in all it was an almost perfect stay....here's where Het Ros van Twente gets schizophrenic. We booked a comfort room, we got one on the ground floor as they suggested it would be more convenient with our dog. They were right. However, the room looks nothing like the images they advertise with. It looked like an 80s remnant. That's fine, it was comfortable, if you overlook the scratchy towels, sheets, dodgy carpet. I understand the rest of the hotel was under renovations. I'm sure this is just a one off.
The breakfast and morning crew (one lady) was so different from the dining staff/experience. Perhaps the disappointment was greater due to the amazing dinners. Breakfast was standard, varied but lacking the most basic things. Like hot water for tea. The kettle was obviously empty and when I asked for more hot water, said lady was less than pleased. Could I not use the steam part of the coffee machine instead? Sure...sorry I had to ask. The bread and home made jams were excellent, but I was most surprised to find them serving sausage/pâté with the rind still attached and you could see bits of paper sticking onto the sides. That was just gross. Also the 'juices' were from concentrate. Fine, but the grapefruit juice actually tasted like after you threw up...so I would avoid those in the future. So a word of advice for Het Ros van Twente, please change your breakfast crew/cook. She does not have the style and grace of the rest of the establishment. No one likes to be grunted to in the mornings (yes, she does not answer but rather grunts...unhappily).
Dear Willem, thank you for your amazing hospitality. We would love to come back, but will probably skip breakfast in the future and just save our appetites for dinner instead.

My family and I stayed for 5 nights, having a wedding reception and dinner at the hotel. The food and service were very good, and the atmosphere was very conducive to the event.
Our hosts, both of whom speak English fluently, were very kind and help to make our stay a delight.
