so many eating places together but we chose Drakes, very clean and bright on the inside with specials board and other good selections. we were warmly mentioned and made aware that they had a stand in chef. however the specials board looked inviting and we had one of each being a turkey steak and beef suet pudding. they were both...

Visited 13/7/16. Excellent choice on the menu. The three of us had the steak pudding, gammon and the lamb dinner, with desserts. Not waiting too long and excellent value for money. Highly reccomend. Pleasant, friendly and attentive staff.

We visit Teignmouth every year for a holiday, and have done for many years. We always have a meal at Drakes, and have never been let down. The food is always of good quality, and always served with a smile.

Living in Teignmouth, we have been here many times for a meal. A good selection, roasts, steaks, pies, curries etc., plus daily specials. Always a good plateful, but always find space for dessert ! Prices very reasonable, and a friendly atmosphere.

Went there tonight (23/01/2016). Had a good selection of main courses. Had their steak pudding from the specials menu and it was amazing!! Hot, and just simply a great dinner. The latte also is the best latte I think I've ever had so much so, I had two! Overall, good honest food and potion sizes are great... I'm so full,...

Lovely home cooked food can highly recommend the steak pudding, followed by an Irish coffee!! Didn't have pudding as was full but will definitely be trying the apple crumble next time! Nice friendly people, will be visiting more often. :-)

Have been here many times over the years as a family and as a couple to dine only. The menu is simple but the food is always very nice and it is always hot. Good value and a full stomach. The only two things which could be improved is it is a little dated and the desserts are disappointing.

No longer a hotel but very good restaurant serving good old fashioned wholesome food from roasts to curry and some fantastic desserts eg sticky toffee pudding and spotted dick. Been going here since finding it in the summer. The food is well presented and good sized portions. I don't think that I Will ever tire of this place.

We have eaten loads of times here on our visits to Teignmouth the food is a reasonable price and yesterdays Sunday Lunch at £5.65 each was outstanding beautiful fresh meat (beef and lamb) that melted in you mouth and fresh vegetables cooked to perfection (this coming from a fellow chef). Great staff and another warm welcome from owner Roy. The...

We stayed here so we could see in the New Year with family. First impressions were that we were not getting anything special for our £44 per night. Actually what we got was a room with electrics that seriously need sorting (I mean, come on, pinning an extension lead to the wall does not constitute as wiring!), a radiator that...
