Stayed in the morven for an overnight with my baby son, parents & an old family friend who lived in mallaig 83 years ago. Gorgeous little fishing village. The morven is uphill from the port with fantastic views across the water to Skye & small isles. We were greeted with Alan as we parked outside, he showed us to our...

We spent one night in Mallaig, as we were taking the ferry the next day to the Isle of Skye. Even though the location is away from the town center, it is walkable taking the back street or better yet, driving by car. We had the front first floor bedroom, and the view of the sea was fantastic! The ensuite...

Very nice stay with Alan at the Morven. The view of the sea, high on the hill, from his place is wonderful. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was wonderful. It is a bit further to the city centre than we originally thought but no problem as we had a car. We really appreciated Alan's hospitality and kindness.

Was recommended to the Morven by another bed and breakfast, where we stayed on Friday evening, due to weddings and birthdays in the village hotels and guest houses were all busy, we were lucky to get booked into Morven on Saturday 6th April. All credit to Alan for making us welcome and providing us with a lovely ground floor sea...

A last minute booking when we decided to stay an extra night in Mallaig and our first location was fully booked. They phoned around and found us Alan's place. Excellent choice. Alan was a first class host. Our room was large, comfortable and well appointed, but didn't have a sea view as we were late bookers, however we saw into...

I arrived in Mallaig by train for a one night stay and was met by Alan at the train station. Morven is uphill from the rail/ferry terminal at the quieter end of Mallaig - 10 to 15 minutes' leisurely walk back down, and Alan was very much ready to offer a lift in any case. I had the upstairs double...

We had a lovely time in Mallaig and the Morven added a big plus to our holiday experience! Alan was welcoming and hospitable without being intrusive - and he can make a mean Scottish breakfast! The double, en-suite room was clean, comfortable and spacious with a lovely sea view. The Morven, however, is a further walk from the town than...

Allan offered us a very friendly and warm welcome, a very clean room and, if you in the morning, the best Scottish breakfest you can imagine. Furthermore, his Morven b&b is situated in the quiet south end of Mallaig and the rooms have a beautiful view on the sea and the islands. If you want to book something in Mallaig,...

We recently stayed here for one night and found Alan to be a tremendous host. His friendly, helpful approach is a lesson a lot of places could take note of. The en suite bedroom was clean and of a good standard expected in a bed and breakfast. We didn't have a sea view purely down to the fact we arrived later in the...
