We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this bed and breakfast .We stayed a week and Sandy and Theresa were very hospitable . The location is great if you want to tour Cape Breton . The rooms were equally nice . We liked having direct access from the outside to our room. Breakfast each day was excellent.

We stayed here after an exhausting day doing the Cabott Trail and were very satisfied. There was not a lot on offer in the area and this was a very pleasant experience. Sandy greeted us and was very warm and welcoming, we had room 4 upstairs, wide stairs to get up with luggage to a very spacious room with a...

We have just spent 1 night here and our room was great Down stairs with a back door so unloading the car was easy. Breakfast in the morning was the best poached eggs we have had this trip. The house was clean and setup to make guests happy. Sandy was a grest host.

We stayed at this B&B in June 2015 and it was just ok. This was one of five B&B that we stayed at during our trip to the Maritimes, we had 2 rooms, the room in the main house was good although the common areas were not as clean and tidy as they could be, the second room that our...

The owner wasn't home but Sandy left me detailed instructions on the door. I easily found my way.. The room was comfortable and and clean. The house is well kept. Breakfast was very tasty. This proved to be a great starting point for my tour around Cape Breton Island. The owner, Sandy, is friendly and helpful.

This is a highly rated B&B but did not live up to its promise. The room we received by the owner who left us a note was not properly cleaned and the main lights didn't work. To the owner's credit, when we requested a room with a harder mattress (by telephone), he moved us to a larger room. However, there...

this was a great experience, we were in the area for a hockey tournament and everything there was booked solid. Sandy took 3 family's in and made our stay one of the best we ever had. Great breakfast. Lots of tea and coffee. Everyone there was great. Recommend this place highly.

The rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast was delicious and Teresa the housekeeper was very friendly and nice. What almost made me turn around and leave was the exterior of the house. Had it not been for my husband's insistence to go see the room, as he had gone in first to look at it, I would have turned...

We were unable to book King (which we'd prefer), but the ground floor queen room was spacious, clean, with a sitting area, nice ensuite bath , wifi, nice sized TV, had its own entrance and deck. Quiet location. Breakfast was delicious and hosts were accommodating. Home baking out for guests on arrival plus a Keurig coffee maker and tea making...

The Mackenzie House is clean, spacious, well lit, and has a very friendly host. Breakfast was also delicious. It feels a bit like you are staying in someone's guest bedroom (decoration was less charming than some, although clean and nicely appointed), but was very comfortable and exactly what we needed! We originally booked at the "top rated" B&B in Port...
