I would not recomend staying here for many reasons, the rooms have no aircon, one small window, fire station siren just outside and goes off alot, manager makes everyone go to bed at midnight, feels like a prison.

No 1 motel is a well kept, clean and tidy no frills accommodation. There is a clean and well resourced shared kitchen, which is almost like a commercial/marae kitchen. It's large and has a lot of space for around 20 to sit and eat. It has a dishwasher and plenty of plates/cups for around 20 too. Simple breakfast cereals, bread...

Lots of amenities in our clean, spacious room, the bed/ bath linen had an expensive feel about them. A huge communal kitchen with lots of complimentary breakfast food, and the dining area overlooked the courtyard...very relaxing. Easy walking distance to all the shops and cafes. Thoroughly recommend it !

We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting family in Cambridge. We often have problems finding accommodation in Cambridge and this was a great find. This is a "No frills" motel but we were pleasantly surprised. It is very clean and comfortable. Manager very helpful and other staff very friendly. Great communal kitchen with plenty of space and we'll equipped....

Great location in Cambridge. We noted the differences at this hotel. It started with checkin and the warm greeting from the owner, a former professional cyclist with his many cyclist bibs behind the counter. Then we came to the room - comfortable bed, a towel warmer, wonderful shower and all those little goodies left for us to use. The place...

Drove down from Auckland to position ourselves to go to Hobbiton. I knew we'd be arriving after dark and I was worried Cambridge would be dark and this place sketchy. The other reviewers, however, didn't let me down tho! It's a classic older accommodation surrounded by antique shops and other retail nearby. The rooms are plain and clean and exactly...

I booked a room for a work colleague that was down in Cambridge for a meeting. The room was clean and the size was ok. Bathroom was also clean and well presented. The staff were efficient and helpful. The price was very affordable and location is very good. Do ask for a room towards the back as the front rooms...

On route from Auckland to Cambridge l phoned to book a room. I was greeted at the other end of the phone by a very unfriendly, miserable man who replied to my request for a room with " we are closing up now & hung up !!! " This was at 9.15pm on a Thursday night.... The website states they...
