The room we had was very spacious, yet warm and cozy and beautifully refurbished. Just a very short stroll to the restaurants and pools it couldn't have been a better location yet it was quiet down a side street. Attention had been paid to every detail and we felt like royalty to have the most delicious breakfast delivered to our... More

A much more pleasant way to enjoy a stay in Hanmer than a motel. Maree and Len are excellent hosts and have restored and maintained an original homestead to an excellent standard. Pre-dinner drinks sampling local Waipara wines and a traditional cooked breakfast were the icing on cake.We will be back!

Cheltenham House is beautifully refurbished, the rooms are warm, spacious and very comfortable and Maree and Len are gracious and generous hosts. The Hanmer Springs thermal pools are just across the road and the property is within easy walking distance of restaurants, cafes and shops. Thank you both for a very enjoyable stay.

I had a wonderful stay here. They provide the most amazing breakfast options, delivered to your room, served and layed out elegantly. There was just too much food: my cooked breakfast of pancakes (8 of them!), as well as toast, jams, fruit, tea and anything else I could have wanted. The room was beautifully appointed and the high-end quality shmapoo,... More

Thank you for your review. We set up "Cheltenham House" as we would enjoy it if we were the guests. We hope you feel pampered as it is important to have quality relaxation time as we often do not get quantity of relaxation time. I hope we meet again. Kind regards Maree More

This is a delightful hotel in an excellent location. It is personally run by a lovely couple called Len & Maree who are charming and so helpful. We had a cottage in the garden (one of two) which was beautiful and clean and spacious. Such a peaceful setting. We were invited to pick pears from their trees if we wished.... More

This is a lovely place to stay. Nice to have own room, with breakfast brought to you. What more could you ask for !!? Lovely gardens to wander round. Len & Maree are lovely hosts and the evening drinks gathering (wine/beer provided) for guests in the billiards room is a really nice way to chat to them and fellow travellers.... More

This is a delightful, quiet and very comfortable establishment. It is a large,1930s period house, beautifully restored, set in a large, well-established garden. The house is peaceful yet only a 3minute from Hanmer Springs' Main Street and five from the spa. Each of the six rooms / cottages is individually named and ours, Morse, was large, with a comfortable seating... More

Only 5 minutes walk from town centre, we arrived to a warm welcome from Len and Marie. At 18:30 we enjoyed a glass of wine with other guests in the billiard room! Bed was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast is served in your room and was a lovely full breakfast. Enjoyed our stay and hope that the recent bush fires... More

Great stay at this boutique B&B. We were travelling with my parents so we were given a choice of rooms on arrival. The folks opted for the garden room and we stayed in the main house. Our room was large and super comfortable with 2 queen beds, beautifully furnished with excellent attention to detail. Before we set out for dinner,... More

We had the garden cottage as that was the only room available on Bookings dot com. It is fairly large and very comfortable. You can sit out in the patio area and have a drink before dinner. The other room was not occupied so we had our own little private spot. The owner offers a 'sundowner' at 6:30, which is... More
