Nothing like the photos on the web site. All outdoor spaces are part of the park and just lots of eating places around a pond. Nowhere to chill out and have a cold beer after a long hot day, all alcohol free. Had the worst subway ever here in the Geoparks.Having said this the cable car ride was superb and worth the journey, just don’t stay here. Rooms needed decorating bed was old and lumpy and there was no way we were going to use the pillows! Stayed for a few hours, looked around and then checked out, couldn’t get a refund but oh well!

Great value for this price . Of course it’s not a 5 star hotel but it’s very clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. You I’ll get great view from the windows and you will be surrounded by nature. 10 minutes from the hotel located one of the best beach in Langkawi, where I was so lucky to see family of Memerang Kumis. Also you have a chance to be one of the first visitors on the sky bridge and avoid huge lines for the tickets . Also other great beach Tanjung Rhu is closely located to the hotel , from there you can get the mangrove tour.

Absolutely horrendous service. Initially we found the guy at reception to be helpful and friendly. He was happy to store our bags (as we arrived hours before check-in), and his English was great. However, after check-in things just went downhill. We had booked a twin room (as we did not feel comfortable sharing a bed), but only after entering the room did we see that we had a double bed. We went down to reception to try and resolve the issue, but the guy was very rude and just told us we had paid for the room now, so it wasn't his problem. We tried to explain that we paid on the premise that we thought we had a twin room, not a double. Eventually we asked if we could get a spare mattress, so one of us could sleep on the floor, but they wanted to charge us for it. Even though they screwed up our booking and put us in the wrong room. Eventually we managed to get them to give us an extra blanket and pillow, but it still meant that someone had the cold, hard floor to sleep on. Lighting is also terrible, and the WiFi has terrible connection throughout the hotel. Rather stay a few km down the road and make your way into the GeoPark by car/taxi if that's what you're here for.

Firstly, we were surprised with how nice the place looked for such a cheap price and we were satisfied with the friendly service. But after we got given our room it went completely down hill. Walked into our room to find one double bed when we had booked a room with 2 single beds. As it was me and my sister staying in the room we were not exactly on board with sharing a bed. I complained to the reception that they had given us a room with 1 bed whereas we had booked for 2 and had proof (Booking confirmation email), he said when you choose what room you would like is just a preference and you get what you get and that there is nothing he can do now as the rest of the rooms are full. I asked if at least they had some extra bending for me to sleep on the floor with and he said there’s extra pillows in the wardrobe and he gave me a thin blanket, then said if I would like another mattress it will cost extra. I asked if it is possible to cancel so we can go somewhere else but he said because we’ve already paid there’s nothing he can do, can’t just give a refund? Very unsatisfied as having to sleep on the hard floor tonight. WiFi doesn’t work either. Picture - my bed for the night

the hotel is really cheap but also one of the worse hotel i have ever stayed till date. the hotel is very very dated and there are stains on the quilt cover, floor, toilet bowl to the walls. Internet is forever loading and sometime if you are lucky it worked for a good 30 mins. It’s like a haunted hotel to me. there is no draw in oriental village but i believed it does have its glorious days before. the only perk is that it’s real convenient to skybridge which probably takes up about half a day there with the other attractions that comes with the package which you compulsory have to purchase to take the skycab ascending up and purchase another ticket for sky glide (or alternatively walk) before reaching the skybridge. it is also near to the 7 wells waterfall but if it’s during the dry season, don’t bother to visit that place. Grab is convenient so you really don’t need to stay here. Pay more to stay at cenang beach. You will not regret.

We choosed the hotel because the location is very close to the Telaga Harbor to take the ferry to Koh Lipe (5 Minutes by Taxi). But it’s definitely not worth the money. The rooms and its furnitures are very old. The cleanliness is not very good. The water from the tap was brown and the toilet was not really good working. Sometimes it flushed, sometimes not. Didn’t enjoy the stay and didn’t feel comfortable. Staff for the check-in was alright. I wouldn’t recommend this location. Stay somewhere else a bit more far away and come to the ferry with a taxi. Way better option :)

All in all, this hotel has everything that should be found in a standard hotel. Fridge, electric kettle, coffee and tea, etc. The walls are quite sound-proof. Location is good if you plan to spend a lot of time at the Geopark attractions. But otherwise... There's nothing here past 5 p.m. No food. Only 1 or 2 restaurants open, and they are very expensive. Marhaba Restaurant ranges from 3 Ringgit for a chapati to 68 Ringgit for a seafood dish. A small cup of masala tea is 8 Ringgit. Higher than airport price. No convenience stores within walking distance. Nothing within the hotel. Now to the hotel itself, overall it's quite ok. However, I must mention a few things: - the blanket cover had a big black smudge. I think housekeeping just flipped it over instead of washed it. My chin probably touched the part of the blanket that touched the previous person's feet. Same black smudges on the pillowcases of the extra pillows in the closet. - elevator was broken during our stay. This is bad for us because even though they gave us a room where we only had to climb a flight of stairs, it's still a major inconvenience for my mom and her bad knee. No staff to help us carry our luggage upstairs either. Actually, they should've given us a discount for this inconvenience. - the front desk charged us twice. We'd already paid when we arrived, but in the morning they charged us again. So we had to wait around for them to request a refund from the big boss. Better communication from the staff would have spared us this inconvenience. - only 1 set of toiletries provided (shower cap, shampoo, soap, glass). No toothbrush. Sewing kit available. Will not return. I do not comments staying longer than 1 night here. If one chooses to stay here, bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste, and bring your own food if you don't want to pay higher than airport price for dinner.

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel but I would like to mention two things which annoyed us. The WiFi was very poor and it should be fixed and also the rooms smell musty so you need to let the AC to be on all the time to get rid of the smell. Besides that it was a great and cheap stay. Hotel is close to Cable park, lots of taxis, staff are very helpful and you can always ask from the hotel. One suggestion if you plan to come to Pantai Kok or close to it for the beach then don’t, the beach is dead and boring. Choose something close to Cenang beach instead.

We chose to stay here for a couple of days due to its proximity to the main attractions we wanted to visit in Langkawi. We knew that the Geopark Village closed at 1900hrs so all nearby restaurants stopped serving by 1830hrs, so we took this into account when planning our evenings. The hotel is very dated and in need of some TLC. That being said, the staff were extremely helpful, the rooms were large, clean and comfortable. There was no double glazing but the air con worked fine. The shower worked well. There was no safe but we given a safety deposit box at reception. Wifi works well most of the time but was a little patchy. The TV was an antique but it worked well and had some English language channels. The hotel does not provide breakfast, but it it surrounded by numerous extremely reasonably priced restaurants and cafes. There tended to open about 0900hrs. Once the village closed at 1900hrs the area around the hotel is completely deserted and peaceful. We walked to the nearby beach on one evening, very pleasant. There are no bars in the village and no alcohol can be drunk within any of the restaurants or cafes, but there is a duty free shop which sells everything you can imagine at very reasonable prices. We kept our room fridge stocked with beers and wine and G&T, and occasionally bought a nice Subway sandwich before they closed at 1900hrs to snack on later! So this place is definitely not for everyone. We took advantage of the fact that it is walking distance to the cable car/ Skybridge and also to the Seven Wells waterfalls. We throughly enjoyed our stay in this quaint and strange little place, we would have no problem recommending it to others.

This Hotel is in Oriental Village which is an amusement park and Cable car resort. The area is scenic and green. Mountains view from the rooms! There are numerous restaurants and activities for children. All the affordable restaurants close early so eat your dinner early. Dont miss going up the Cable car to see magneficent views. Kok Beach is nearby and so is Telagah Tuguh (Water fall) and Seven wells (Water fall and Hiking) which is a must do! I extended my stay because i love the thick forest and beach! Excellent views from the Hotel!
