It's a beautiful place with beautiful food, excellent service and very close to the entrance to the Lake Mburo National Park. Animals come up to the nearby waterhole so you don't need to go far to see wildlife

My friend and I decided to camp for one night in order to lower costs. The tent was pitched when we arrived after a 4hr drive from Kampala and had two beds + a lamp. I recommend bringing a flashlight for the night walk from the dining area to the camp site though there were lights along the path. At... More

Nice food in a great location with wild animals coming next to your table! Recommend it. We didn't stay for the night but the rooms look good too. Zebras in the way to the lodge. We could have go for a bush walk too if we had time but it will be for a next visit

Wow. Where can I begin. We had no idea there was this great of a place, just a few hours drive from Kampala. Located on the edge of the Lake Mburo National Park this place is a 2 minute drive to the gate of the safari drive. The food and drinks were fantastic. The rooms were safari themed and clean.... I stayed here for one night towards the end of a two week trip, but wish I could have stayed longer as it is such a wonderful location. The hotel really is perched 'on top of the rock' with amazing views in almost all directions. The rooms are in individual huts, furnished to a very high standard and each nicely... More

This is the perfect location to explore Lake Mburo National Park from as it's just outside the gate. It's literally on top of a massive rock, and the views are absolutely stunning. We had a little cottage right at the edge which was lovely (although they're all a good distance away from each other). The room was lovely and spacious... More

Travelling on a budget safari with Sandfield Travel I was very pleasantly surprised with the standard of accommodation. Not luxury accommodation, food or service but all fine and more than made up for by the location, pool area and top of the rock.
