My friend and I stayed here in when we were traveling around Thailand. We had quite low standards as we were interested in traveling on a budget, and were very happy with our stay at Naga Bungalows. The bungalows are very basic, basically a wood box with a bed inside. But each bungalow has a veranda, a lock, and a...

Stayed here back in 2009...seems to have gone downhill since then. The fan room is okay but a table and mirror would have been nice as there is only a bed in the room and at 800 baht I feel is very overpriced. There are better places in the village for a budget traveller. The shared bathroom is a disgrace,...

Pretty small size cocktail if you don't take the bucket. While we had a few during happy hour the day before, it was okay size for a very cheap price. But the day after we got this unbelievably tiny cocktail for the same 80B

Can't speak of the bungalows as I didn't stay there, but we went to Naga Bar for some drinks last Saturday. A mistake - we got drugged! There weren't that many customers at the time but the atmosphere seemed cool and music was good. We ordered a Sangsom bucket, watched the fire show, took some pictures and British girls having...

I cant speak for the bungalows, but the club/bar across the street goes OFF at night! Tons of people, mostly covered in body paint at some point as the whole place is lit up with blacklights, cheap drinks and pumping music! if your on Koh samet and looking for a place to dance this is it!!

We stopped off at Koh Samet for one night whilst travelling round Thailand (on a tight schedule!) & stayed at Naga Bungalows in an air conditioned bungalow with private bathroom (which was outside & separate from the room) - this cost 1200 baht in low season & we feel it's massively overpriced when compared to other bungalows on the island...

When we arrived from Bangkok in the afternoon we were tired and just wanted a place to stay. We had a family room with private bathroom for 3000 Bath wich was way overpriced. To get to the bathroom you had to go out of the room... The Naga bar pumped out loud music until early morning so if you're looking...

I wanted to stay in Ao Phai and there are not many choices. This place exemplifies Thai carelessness and indifference towards the environment. The bungalows are cheaply and sloppily constructed on the hill. The rooms with the private bathroom have the bathroom separate. The shower does not have hot water and the water pressure is very low. The rooms are...

Stayed here for the long weekend, made the mistake of booking last minute and this was the last available option. Its not even the cheapest place to stay on the island, but it definitely looks it. The "Naga bar" belongs in Koh Phagnan and the loud base from the endless dub step can be heard until early in the morning....

So many bad reviews. Seriously, you chose to go to a developing country with a limited budget. There is quiet frankly nothing wrong with this accommodation. The bungalows are clean, the owner friendly, loos and showers washed frequently and the positioning is just up the hill from the beach. I've read lots of complaints about the noise from the club...
