My family has been coming to Bad Hofgastein for over 30 years, so when my 83 year old grandma announced she wanted to make her last trip there, we made it a family affair. My sister, grandma, me and my cousin with baby stayed at the hotel for three nights. The good: - my mother had to cancel last minute,... More

Comfortable and spacious rooms. Nice bar. Evening entertainment. Pool and spa facilities. Good breakfast and dinner buffet. About 10 minutes walk through a park to the nearest ski lift, or the ski shuttle stops right outside if you'd rather not walk.

I have been to this hotel for years and not much has changed since the change in ownership (now part of the German Johannesbad chain). The facilities have no Austrian charm. The building is a large functional box. So why 4 stars? The price cannot be beat. Rooms are good and clean. Essentially three meals (if you bother to make... More

Stayed at this hotel as part of a Ski Club of GB holiday. Whatever else, this hotel was a big step up from a shabby chalet! The food is excellent, buffet for breakfast and dinner with wine and beer on tap in the restaurant in the evenings. The staff are lovely, especially Kostos, who made us so welcome. The room... More

We LOVE this hotel - and we've been coming for years. OK, it's not the prettiest building, but the atmosphere is wonderful, the buffet deliciously Austrian (lots of schnitzen gipfen mit bilsen and pilsen) in a large and elegant dining room with fantastic views across to the mountains. For the last 5 years we've been bringing our children, and they... More

The hotel is correctly rated as a 4* hotel. Although the rooms and furniture is a bit old, there are many positive aspects to it: very good and varied food options, many activities possible within the hotel (indoor pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, a small saline room, even indoor tennis yards). I also need to mention the friendly and helpful staff of... More

Great hotel, excellent spa and pool. Brilliant room (for just me) overlooking the pool. Appreciated the bath, bidet and shower. Buffet style meals are fine and supported with great friendly service from Judit, Balazs and Kostas in particular plus others whose names I didn't capture. Beer, soft drinks and house wine included. Not much evening bar entertainment in the hotel... More

Just returned from here after a weeks skiing. Just to say that the hotel is excellent, decent sized rooms, serviced daily and friendly staff. Breakfast and dinner are both a buffet, with a good range of food to suit all. Located 10 minutes walk form the slopes, or use the ski bus which stops outside. One minor grumble is that... More

Stayed at this hotel for a week for skiing. Rooms good, with Tv, shower and safe, but no kettle and serviced daily. Good breakfast spread, in the evening buffet style service. Hotel has spa, sauna, swimming pool etc. And is about ten minutes from ski lift.
