Ans and Kees have created a wonderful, unique and very enjoyable place to stay. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted and our room for the three of us (me, my wife and 2 year old son) was very clean, comfortable and airy. Just what we needed after a long drive from Italy. The old moulin is fascinating, with beautiful gardens...

I would echo the previous reviewers' superlatives. I was travelling alone on this occasion and this turned out to be a real pleasure (as opposed to a functional night's stay). Dinner was really wonderful in terms of the dishes served, the way it was prepared, the explanations without the pretentiousness one sometimes encounters and the occasion of sitting around a...

We stayed here en route to Italy in July.Ans and Kees are charming hosts and made us very welcome after a long car journey. The setting is very peaceful in a quiet village. Taking tea in the garden we instantly unwound. Wandering through le Moulin we got an impression that Ans liked to cook from the number of books by...

I stayed just one night on a motorcycling trip to the Haute Savoie. I only wished I'd stayed longer. Their website looked interesting and their price looked fine. Run by Dutch couple Kees and Ans Bakker who have transformed an old mill house into a stunningly beautiful hotel. Much more than a hotel though; high quality workmanship and materials have...

a place away from home where you are immediately at ease. What a perfect hosts Ans & Kees! The rooms are large, the food when kees is cooking is absolutely fantastic as are the wines. The Moulin is a great place to stop and stay. The prices are very very good. We did not find a better place to sleep...

Great stopover - wish we could have stayed longer. The mill was full but there's an arrangement with a lady down the road who was most pleasant and the room we had in her interesting old house was absolutely fine. Highlight was a great dinner in the company of our hosts and their other guests in what would once have...

Our family of 6 (me, my wife, our teenage children and my parents - both in their 80's) spent a night at Le Moulin de la Ferte after arriving by plane and renting a car in Paris. We were greeted on the front porch by the Bakker's (the owners) who were the most hospitable and gracious hosts. We were invited...

My wife and I spent two nights at Le Moulin de La Ferte and we wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the food and company of the owners. We had a room on the 2nd floor in this refurbished mill that looks even better in person than on the web (which is hard to do). The hosts were...

Le Moulin de la Ferte sounded good and proved exceptional. Very comfortable accommodation, a warm friendly welcome, and the most excellent food. If you are in the Jura it is a must.

As promised we returned to this wonderful converted mill for a second holiday this year. It was everything we had remembered from our one night stay last year. This year we were staying four nights which is a bit more of a test for an area. It lived up to all of our expectations and more. Our hosts Ans and Kees...
