The Director at this place is just a nice guy, so why look out for another place if this Hotel responds to your needs. The room this time was a bit small, last floor (-), however the meal in the beautifully appointed restaurant excellent, as usual. Alone the decoration here is worth a visit to Seiffen and of course to...

Away from the buzz but close enough you can not fault this nicely run family hotel. The Nutcracker is the theme, and the collection of them is extraordinary. Very nice diner with German delights, breakfast, good and giving a good days' start.

We stayed at the Nussknackerbaude for a long weekend, fulfilling my long held dream of spending my birthday in Seiffen - a paradise for Christmas shopping, famous for wood carving. Upon entering the hotel one is greeted by a life size nutcracker. And each door leading into the clean guestrooms with beautiful views has a nutcracker on it! How great is that? The actual nutcracker has been cut in 1/2 and has been glued to the front of the door. The beds are comfortable. The showers decent sized. The bathroom...

“My friends upgraded from the standard double room for only 10 Euros more. WOW. It wasa mini suite - had a small room with a TV, sofa, chairs, table and then a bedroom which was also nice sized. That is the way to go!”
