The best place ever!!!! We stayed there for 4 nights and can’t wait to go back!!! It’s a beautiful place with a mesmerizing view! Every morning felt like a fairytale! Away in a mountains looking over a river in a ice garden.... can’t imagine a better way to start the day. In addition to that the owners are AMAZING!!!!!!! They are friendly, speak English and do everything to accommodate you and make your stay the best it can be!!!!! The villa is clean and the breakfast is to die for, fresh breads, home made pastries, fresh juice and fruits strait from the garden, cheeses, meats, eggs, jems, coffee, tea...... and really a variety of everything! If you are looking for a romantic stay or a time away with the family this is The Best place to stay at!
Vincente and Lurdes welcomed 10 of us into their wonderful historic home with very unique rooms and furnishings. Breakfast each morning included beacon and eggs with a plethora of grains and fruits. Swimming pool very clean and relaxing.
We stayed in a room overviewing the Douro valley, during the night with the additional benefit of seeing all the light reflections in the river. A church nearby decided to play the melody of „Ode to joy“ hourly, not loud and not during the night, The room was clean, the hosts very friendly. There are 2 big terraces, one with morning sun and one with evening sun. Breakfast was included for dinner we had to go by car for appx. 8min. A clear recommendation to go there.
A very nice house, with a great variety of different rooms, nicely equipped with many antiquities, well chosen details in the interior decoration, very friendly and accommodating hosts, garden spaces to the East and the West, Swimmingpool, about three kilometers from the town. Incredible variety of rolls and bread for Breakfast, anglosaxon breakfast on demand.
This is a stunning location in the Douro Valley, above the Valley with magnificent views. Vincente and Lurdes are magnificent hosts who make you feel so at home. Our rooms (2 couples) were very comfortable and had great views. We enjoyed the pool and the spaces available to guests. Breakfast was excellent. Lurdes gave us great tips on places to visit. While the hosts do not provide dinner, they provided a beautiful cheese platter with other additions which meant we did not need to go out. And they have a good selection of wines which are reasonably priced. I do have one complaint - that we did not stay longer. While the quinta is on narrow roads, there are some great places to visit and I would suggest considering using this as a base for a few days. Without question, our best stay in Portugal.…
