We were told the site is like Marmite; but we like Marmite.
But the first the pluses:
Easy to find and easy access.
Good sized pitches.
A well stocked on-site supermarket with reasonable prices.

Good location . Clean and absolutely huge with over 1000 pitches and many hundreds of chalets . Has large spar supermarket , loads of sports and even its own church . Restaurant on site is overlooking lagoon and is inexpensive . Especially if you go...More
Lovely menu del dia looking out over the Mar Menor. Service was very good. Menu is written in English, French and German so not a problem for non Spanish speakers. Portion sizes are great, so don't fill up on the lovely bread rolls that are...More
Large campsite Capfun has chalets in the summer months, lots of snowbirds there in the winter. Plenty of activities outdoor and indoor pool, tennis courts, bar and restaurant. Quiz nights, bridge and whist nights. Saturday evening entertainment.

There are loads of "emplacements" for sale, but be very careful as they are of varying standards. Some are like shanty town corrugated huts and an area was described as "Beirut" (not by me, but by someone who lived there). Some are ok but need to be seen as some of the privately owned ones are back to back.
La Manga is described as a marmite site, you love it or hate it. I found it ok but were on the touring pitches in a good position. I wouldn't have been happy elsewhere. Toilet facilities were spotless, bar, restaurant and shop very good.
