I mixed a bit of business and pleasure in the area and chose to stay for one night at the Saracens Head. The riverside location was stunning even on a wet and windy December day. The welcome from the staff was warm , my room , although small , had an amazing view and had everything I needed .The atmosphere...

Stayed here for two nights in the lower boathouse. Huge room, lovely deep bath, lovely and clean with great views. Breakfast was fantastic and food in the restaurant was fab! My most favourite place to stay. The Saracens Head Inn is in such beautiful surroundings. The rooms are all so well decorated, clean and designed with fabulous views of the river Wye. Best breakfasts ever. Staff are all so well organized, helpful, just great. We stay in for our evening meal every evening as we love the food and menu...

After a long walk through the nearby woods and staying at the hotel next door, my husband and I visited the Saracens pub at 2pm on a November Saturday for a well deserved pint. The outside seating and the pub itself was heaving, mainly walkers and dog owners. As it was a gorgeous but crisp (the coldest weekend so far)...

fantastic scenery is on tap, couple that with a fabulous B&B like the Saracen's Head and you're onto a winner. Food was lovely, especially the hearty breakfast that sets you up for any day spent either following one of the many walks, or just watching the river flow past. The staff cater for your every need, rooms are clean and...

Stayed one night at this lovely pub with rooms. The rooms are more boutique hotel than B&B with stripped wood floors, well-appointed bathrooms, comfy beds and great views. We visited the area to do some walking which is just as well because the food is fantastic! Delicious menu with daily specials, imaginative dishes and all really well cooked. Save room...

Everything about the Saracen's Head was lovely - the food was delicious, the setting beautiful and the service amazing, to the extent that, when we left our tablet behind, the proprietor went out of his way to help us have it couriered back to us. Couldn't have been better. We hope to go back soon.

I stayed in room 12 Upper boat house it was very spacious with balcony and great views. There was a large sofa and the lighting could be as bright or as romantic as you wished. Very modern bathroom with lots of fluffy towels. The waiting staff were very attentive and the food delicious. The haunch of venison accompanied by a...
