Once again the Staff and Management made our stay so easy to enjoy. Even the weather joined in and not only gave us mild sunny weather but a light show to rival the enchanted forest with a sighting of the Aurora Borealis above the hotel. My only disappointment came on the last morning when many of the people on the...

We stayed in a room in the building across from reception area, and was very happy with the view(ground floor) across a garden. The room was very comfortable, spacious bathroom with towel warmer, in room heater, and most comfy beds and pillows on our whole trip. Full English/Scottish breakfast was indeed a feast, the dinner meal was awesomely delicious, and...

We had a room in the building across the courtyard . It was very peaceful, with just the welcome cawing of the jackdaws in the trees. The room clean, of a generous size and the bathroom was spanking new with gleaming fitments. The restaurant offered a good choice and the young waiters and waitresses were both efficient and charming ....

My husband and I stayed on an Itison deal and really enjoyed our stay. Our room was brilliant with a lovely power shower and very clean. The evening meal was excellent and so was the breakfast. All the staff were very friendly especially James on Reception who couldn't do enough for you and also Rebecca one of the waitresses -...

Staff make this hotel. Very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Although some of the decor in the communal areas is somewhat outdated, the rooms were very spacious and finished to a high standard. The breakfast was very tasty and portions were large with a good selection. We would thoroughly reccomend this hotel as a great base for exploring the Highlands.

OK, so the internet was only available in the main building which housed the reception, bar and restaurant but as everybody spent part of the day there it wasn't a big problem. At 7.12 Mbps (Ookla Speedtest app) that's more than twice the speed required to stream videos and the connection never failed. The buildings are a little "tired". If...

Our stay for 4 nights was part of a guided tour of the Highlands and overall was very acceptable. Accommodation. We were initially allocated a room overlooking the road. Small tired and noisy. Whilst staying in the Highlands, the weather was exceptional (no complaints but this made the room very warm (no air conditioning)) and having the window open raised...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
For true Highland hospitality come to the Highlander, a hotel renowned for its good food and warm welcome. The hotel is an ideal base for touring the North of Scotland with mountain ranges, forests, lochs and river valleys waiting to be explored. Wind down in our inviting restaurant serving an array of dishes made from locally sourced produce. Perhaps a wee dram from the bar would suit; choose a whisky from one of the many local distilleries for which this area is famous for throughout the world. ... more   less
