We arrived to Tutka Bay Lodge as tourists, but soon found ourselves on vacation. Beautiful nature and beautiful accomodations. The staff is welcoming, efficient, warm and attentive to every wish of every guest. A very pumpering experience. The outdoor is fantastic and there is lots to do. Food is very special. all home made, healthy and tasteful.

We flew into the lodge by sea plane. It was a scenic trip. The lodge is family owned and provides for that personal familial feel. Compared to King Pacific Lodge - which is more of a corporate feel- the staff are very accommodating and flexible. Plans change frequently due to the weather and the staff comes together to react to... More

Holy mackerel! I'ts going to be hard to reel in the superlatives here. My wife and I spent three incredible days and nights here recently - and we're already looking forward to our return. We've traveled extensively, but Tutka Bay is without equal in every regard - setting, facilities, equipment, service, cuisine, personnel, recreational opportunities. We are complete food snobs... Tutka Bay Lodge is beyond 5 stars. In just 3 days of vacation time, I felt like I had new family and forever memories. Best part of our Alaska vacation! The location, guides, staff, food, cabins, activities, etc. are more perfect than anyone could imagine!

We stayed in the Tutka Bay Lodge early September 2015 for 4 days. The premises and the bay are exceptionally beautiful, the scenery magnificent. The lodge hut we stayed in was very spacious and clean with eye for detail. We went for a 4-hour rain-forest hike, a bearview-tour (with plane), and kayacking. The lodge staff took us out for a... When our time at the fantastic sister property, Winterlake Lodge, ended, my wife and I boarded a float planeand started the 1 1/2 hour trip south to Tutka Bay Lodge. This lodge, which sits on Tutka Bay, nine miles across the water from Homer, is also owned by Carl and Kirsten Dixen. Carl is a famous guide and Kirsten is... More

My sister, wife & I took the water taxi over to Tutka Bay for an exciting day filled with plenty of inspiration, suggestions, hands-on instruction, humor, and, of course, first-class food - all in a delightful old wooden crab boat that was beautiful. The serious chefs in our group were pleased and the casual fans, like myself, were entertained appropriately... More

This is a fairly expensive but excellent resort. They will take good care of you. The rooms are nice, though we think some are much preferable. There are plenty of recreational choices and the staff will completely look after you to ensure a safe and satisfying experience. There is a cooking school on the property, which raises expectations for the... More

What a great location - our only regret was that we didn't stay longer! Top quality accommodation and superb food. We kayaked, walked, and even had a helicopter trip. The staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful or more knowledgeable. This was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Alaska. Thank you Gus and Carly.

This lodge is unlike any Alaskan lodge you will EVER visit and I can say this because my husband and I have lived in AK for over 10 years & have visited a lot of lodges. Carl and Kirsten Dixon provide an excellent experience at this full-service resort. From kayaking, hiking, fishing, paddle boarding, bear viewing, cooking classes, massage &... More
