It's been 7 years since I visited this beautiful place and I find myself reminiscing about the whole experience often! I was doing a safari excursion with a group of 8 others and a couple nights stay here was a part of the package. If you have the opportunity visit and camp! We stayed up around a fire and enjoyed...

We had 2 great nights together with my clients during our trip to Murchison falls National park. We enjoyed the bandas that are surrounded by tropical woodland, cool and quiet camping ground enriched by the natural sound of singing birds that woke us up! The support staff surpassed our expectation as they were very effective and hospitable. I truly recommend...

A very pleasant spot close to the river crossing with good accommodation and great food. Make sure you are hungry (the portions are large) and get in early for the specials before they run out. The dining area was very relaxing with a great fire at night and the hippo chewing the grass just outside our door was a bonus

My wife and I chose to go with Red Chilli Safari Tours because many of our friends have gone with them and suggested it as an option for budget-minded travelers like ourselves. I'm glad my friends made the suggestion! Although we had a great time with Red Chilli Safaris, my review will mostly focus on the accommodation aspects of RC...

While the more luxurious resorts in Murchison area are nice, I loved the experience at Red Chilli Rest Camp. We (three women) stayed in the family banda and since we hadn't had a real shower in weeks, we LOVED the hot water and good water pressure. Signs in the banda said the solar power would go off at night so...

This is a tent camp with a few family bandas, located an easy walk from the boat and ferry landings. We stayed in a family banda, which has two rooms with twin beds, parlor, and bath. The banda is not fancy, but tightly screened with solid walls. As four adults, we did fine, although I felt the mattress had gone...

Dear Paul T Thanks so much for the really detailed feedback. Sometimes when we have heavy rain up there, it does seep under the floor in that family banda...apologies for that. I think we'll put a ledge on the outside that will stop it happening in the future...although I hope people won't trip up over it on their way in/out?!...

Though mostly a tent camp, as a family of four adults we were placed in a self-contained cabin. Mattresses were a bit soft, but the facilities met our needs. We were warned that we could encounter hippo or warthogs at night. I met a warthog on my way to dinner! Management has obviously taken care of making the camp welcoming...

Absolutely beautiful views with wonderful dining/bar/lounge area overlooking a vast wilderness. Warthogs and baboons wander round in the mornings. Bandas clean and roomy. The staff there were extremely efficient and helpful but seemed to be run by their Kampala branch and we were made to move from one banda to the one next door as Kampala had arranged this, what...

Dear Jessica J Thanks very much for taking the time to review Red Chilli. Our branch in Kampala does take all the bookings as deposits are required in order to secure accommodation. I am sorry you had to vacate your banda but yours had been pre-booked and paid for by someone else. We do actually have a couple of local...

I would recommend if travelling on a budget as most accomodation that side is priced extravagantly.Stayed there with agroup of friends in their furnished tents.I was impressed with the staff who were very friendly and hospitable and never got tired of our endless requests which seemed the opposite when it came to most pipo we met.The place is really clean...
