This is what you expect from the lodges in other parts of Africa. Uganda doesn't have it down yet, but Murchison River Lodge is getting close. A pool to cool off and cold beer, and the food is good. Get the lodges by the river.

In January 2017 I, my mother and niece were lucky enough to stay at this incredible lodge. We were there for 3 nights so we could explore Murchison Falls National Park. It was a fantastic location just outside the park. The staff were very friendly and we were welcomed with a watermelon juice. Extremely children friendly, even cutlery and plates...

We stayed there for 2 nights - good service, friendly staff, rooms a bit tiny but clean and nice, swimming pool was a set back - water didn't look very inviting but we had a great time watching the apes playing around the pool

Very clean split level cottage located steps away from Nile River. Downstairs is a toilet, shower, twin beds w/netting, balcony and luggage rack. Upstairs is a king size bed w/netting, balcony and desk. Wifi is available at the pool area. Food service is slow and relaxed. Food is good. Staff escort you back to your room as the site becomes...

I stayed in one of the 2 floor cottages. Felt suitably remote. Very large and more than suitable for a family or 4 adults who get on well. Large balcony with hammock overlooking the forest. Comfortable beds. Well decorated. Hot shower. Great place to relax. Food is very good with choice of mains and vegetarians well catered for. Staggered breakfasts...

On a recent journey through Uganda, this was an excellent place to stay. The campsite has good facilities and Murchison Falls NP is a haven for wildlife. Sitting at the bar overlooking the Nile, we watched hippo, elephant and grey-crowned crane from the comfortable seats. Excellent Wifi too, which was unexpected.

Me and my wife stayed only one night but we wished we had more time to stay longer as the place is very nice just to relax in front of the Victoria Nile river, listening to the animals and birds making their own particular sounds. The common area is very nice and inviting to stay there and do nothing but...

We camped and in all honesty it wasn't the best camp site we have stayed at but this was more than made up for with the gorgeous views over the Nile where hippos and elephants were easily seen grazing on the grass. Very nice pool area with lots of monkeys to keep you entertained. The facilities in the camp site...

We visited recently in a small group and were impressed again by the wonderful lodge and the peaceful environment. This lodge is the right place for nature lovers. No music or radio blasting, everything is in respect of the environment it is set in. While we chose private camping this time, we were still able to enjoy the delicious food...

We stayed here as a family of four over the Xmas period. The lodge is very well managed and has a great locale on the banks of the Victoria Nile. You can spot elephants and hippo from the restaurant area which you don't do every day where I come from! It is very well set up for families, with a...
