Nice hotel if a bit remote (takes 10-15 min by car on dirt road to get there from the town of Parrita). The staff was very accommodating, friendly, and helpful. The restaurant has good food, with a combination of local, Spanish, and North American dishes....More
I wanted to visit Manuel Antionio in Costa Rica. The Clandestino Beach "Resort” states that it is 10.6 miles from Manuel Antonio. This was false advertising. The truth is that this hotel is over an hour away. Within a very short time after my reservation...More

Our stay at the Clandestino was exactly what we were looking for. We decided to stay there for 3 days after a week of activities in Costa Rica, so it was mainly to enjoy the beach and the pool, relax after long walks across the...More

The road to Clandestino is not the best, that's how it keeps this resort as your personal resort, rarely see any other travellers on the beach, way better than dirtier Manuel Antonio beach. The room is great, and very clean. Staff are very friendly, Diana,...More

When I traveled there in 2015 in the month of November their Caesar salad for 5700 colones, guacamole for 4500 colones hamburger for 5300 colones a dessert was around 5000-6000 colones... So for the things on the menu that are not expensive they are reasonable they did have items on the menu that were considerably more expensive (lobster, for example, I believe it was around $25-$30 US dollars). But on average our lunch daytime snacks, dinner with Dessert ran between 40,000 colones and 55,000 colones for myself, my husband and my six-year-old/day. He and I split a lot of meals. Which is not unusual for us....
No nightlife like a band or DJ. The bar is open until, I think around nine or 10 in the evening. The nightlife would be your self people to work in the bar and the other guests. Hope that helps!
It's not all inclusive. The food is overpriced and B- in quality. There's no entertainment or fitness. The beach is across the dirt road, but you can't swim because of dangerous currents. I recommend avoiding this place.
