The property is beautiful, and the service is top notch. Rooms are awesome and you will get the little thatched roof room you see in the pictures -not a second rate room. Also the property is large enough to have the best amenities and small enough to take personal care of each person. The beach is pristine and beautiful. Everything... More

I loved this place, private beach, clean, safe, beautiful earthy rooms, clean swimming pool, beach front at your door step. I stayed in 2012. I don't know why anyone would complain about it. And the price is outstanding. I plan on going back, i almost don't want to say anything good before they increase the price. To me it is... More

Nice hotel if a bit remote (takes 10-15 min by car on dirt road to get there from the town of Parrita). The staff was very accommodating, friendly, and helpful. The restaurant has good food, with a combination of local, Spanish, and North American dishes. The beach is just a short walk away and has clean, light brown sand bordered... More

I wanted to visit Manuel Antionio in Costa Rica. The Clandestino Beach "Resort” states that it is 10.6 miles from Manuel Antonio. This was false advertising. The truth is that this hotel is over an hour away. Within a very short time after my reservation was made, I contacted the hotel to explain the situation and kindly asked them for... More

Our stay at the Clandestino was exactly what we were looking for. We decided to stay there for 3 days after a week of activities in Costa Rica, so it was mainly to enjoy the beach and the pool, relax after long walks across the country. We carefully selected this hotel knowing some important facts: 1. The hotel is secluded,... More

This place was a slice of heaven; if you want a breather from the hustle and bustle of city life, and you are looking for waves, privacy, beauty and relaxation, then this is the hidden gem for you. We absolutely loved our time at Clandestino. Although it is off the beaten path, it infuses this place with a special energy... More

The road to Clandestino is not the best, that's how it keeps this resort as your personal resort, rarely see any other travellers on the beach, way better than dirtier Manuel Antonio beach. The room is great, and very clean. Staff are very friendly, Diana, the owner, she is very helpful, when we leaving the hotel, she helped up to... More

Pura Vida. Hello Ricardo. Thanks for writing a comment, it's very kind of you. The booking we receive from you was 4 rooms of 4 persons per room, a group of 16 young adorable Mexicans as all the inhabitants of this wonderful country that is Mexico. After a grueling week in central CR (pouring rain, the flu), our trip to Clandestino was everything we hoped. Beautiful scenery, relaxation, excellent food, beach massage, and low-key but helpful and friendly staff. Gravel entrance road? Iguanas? Geckos? Dogs? If you don't appreciate those, you don't appreciate Costa Rica. Don't miss this hidden gem. Pura Vida!

Amazing small aesthetically designed resort in a tropical paradise. The rooms were spacious and clean, staff were excellent as well as discrete and we received personalized service in a beautiful spot. Even more wonderful is that there is an empty beach, sunsets, full moon and very good food. What more can anybody ask! Oh, and the pool was inviting and... More
