Camino Verde B&B is a nice little hotel, just a 5min leisurely walk to Santa Elena's centre square. A great location to base yourself at to explore the town & surrounding area. The breakfast is very tasty, though a little limited in options (2 pancakes, 2 slices of wheat toast, or rice & beans with either scrambled eggs or fresh...

Booked online for a one night stay within Monteverde, we didn't have many expectations, how wrong we were. Greeted on arrival by one of the friendliest, most helpful and informative hotel staff I have ever encountered. Although our rooms were not available, we were offered complimentary coffee, tea (which is available 24/7) and given every piece of information we could...

We were within walking distance to the center. The staff here are wonderful, they will book your excursions, shuttles at the same price or better than online, So don't stress before hand and have it done by them. Always someone at the desk, security with cameras. The breakfast were great and included in the price, The reason for the 4...

I have only WONDERFUL things to say about Camino Verde. From the staff, to the breakfast, the service, the patio, the room, the location.... ALL were perfect! Yes, our room was small and in the basement, with no window, but it was also the ONLY AirBnB room apparently, and we did not pay much for our room! We never spent...

The place is located centrally and you can walk down to the main street for pizza and other fun food. Jose was very helpful all through (even when we were in Canada...)- helped with booking our outings. Ernie, the other person at the front desk was also helpful and helped us out with bookings for activities on our arrival. Every...

Not only was this a good location within walking distance to the town, it was a great place for R & R. The patio area was beautiful and a great place to visit, to eat breakfast and to relax. Being able to use the kitchen area and the fridge was a big help! Coffee, tea and water and ice were always...

This B&B is just outside the center but easy to walk. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The private rooms are nice, good bathroom. No airconditioning but thats not needed on this height because it cools down very nice during the night. They offer several simply choices for breakfast and the kitchen may be used after breakfast for the...

Great place to stay, friendly, helpful staff. Having a kitchen to use was a real bonus, plus free coffee and tea. Balcony with an amazing view was pleasant to sit out on when it wasn't blowing a gale. Close to shops and cafés.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Camino Verde B&B is a "Bed and Breakfast" style lodging opened in 2009 and located on the edge of Santa Elena. The B&B is laid out in the style of a family house and guests are encouraged to treat it as their home. The building was in fact once the owner's family home which gave inspiration to this 'Tica House' designed hotel. The B&B is situated a 5 minute walk from the town centre of Santa Elena, but is far enough away for it to be quiet and have more rural surroundings. This is the perfect option for those who crave the quiet side of the countryside but who require the amenities provided in a town. FACILITIES: Camino Verde B&B comprises private rooms which sleep 2 to 4 guests. Four of the rooms have shared bathroom facilities and the rest are en suite. ... more   less
