Enjoyed our visit, this location close to zip lines and other activities. Not an easy walk, would recommend using taxis from the area if not driving. Roads are kinda rough and no sidewalks. Several good places to eat close by. Friendly helpful staff, rooms were clean. No AC but not really needed in the mountains.

My family stayed here for four nights while we explored the Monteverde area. The cabin was clean and comfortable. We were switched from the cabin we had originally reserved and given one with a shared kitchen (our original reservation did not include the cabin with kitchen). The views from the porch were beautiful -- both for the sunsets and the...

We came here after a week of being at the beach. We arrived around 8pm, it was nice that the reception was still open. A very kind young man welcomed us, and game us advice on what we should do locally. He even made some phone calls for us and found that t he San Luis waterfall was closed. This...

So, these cabinas were very charming, if a little dated (which I'm totally down with). We stayed here for the view, perched high above Santa Elena and overlooking the Nicoya Gulf. The sunset is spectacular. You can't beat it for the price. The breakfast is decent, but I won't say it is anything to write home about (I know this...

The rooms were nice, and as advertised. Breakfast was good. Our favorite part was the trail to the swing. We saw capuchins several times, coatis, agouti, morphos, many birds and two other mammals we couldn't identify. The views were lovely.

We just returned from a three night stay in the four bedroom cabin #8. It's a beautiful place with a wide view. The yard and grounds are very pretty. We walked the trail twice and visited the swing, picnic table, and cows. We saw a coati, hummingbirds, coyotes (we think that's what they were) and monkeys, as well as numerous...

At first I was taken aback by how isolated the cabins were from the actual downtown Saint Elena city. But staying here was a wonderful way to kick off my trip. The cabin was rustic and clean. The view directly outside my door was breathtaking; you could see the waves of mist and fog come and go, enveloping the mountains....

From the cute cottage (we stayed in #8 with 5 kids), to the forest walk to the tree swing, to the horse that roamed around our cabin eating sugar cane, the one night stay was magical. Great breakfast by the staff in the morning. Ask for the local jam to go with your toast... Amazing.

I give this a 5 star as we are not high not high end travellers, we like Rustic accommodations. We stayed in the 4 bedroom mountain cabin with our family of 6 and it was more than adequate for the 6 of us. We had the essentials for snacks and basic food prep. The Cabinas offer a breakfast for $6...

We are traveling through Costa Rica with all of our kids and their spouses adding some large family travel experience to our travel writing. There are 11 of us and we could have found a better spot to stay the night in Santa Elena! They accommodate families well with lots of space. Cute cabins with comfortable beds. The staff is...
