We stayed one night to be close to the cloud forests and nature reserves. The lodge property is almost completely isolated from the hustle and noise of the town even though the driveway is directly off one of the main streets. The cabins were clean and simply furnished. The staff was very helpful although they couldn't find an alarm clock...

I recently spent 6 nights at the Arco Iris Lodge in Santa Elena, Monteverde. It was a wonderful experience all around. The cabins are lovely, very comfortable, surrounded by beautiful grounds. Town is a short walk away but you don't see or hear it at the Lodge. Also, there is a lovely breakfast buffet available every morning. I highly recommend...

this hotel is located right on the small town on Santa Elena. it is up a very short drive on a gorgeous piece of property Each cabin is very nice with good space, nice shower, and a porch. Staff is very friendly and helpful. they grow most of the food served at breakfast...it's a huge array and simply the best....

I really lucked out, picking this place at random online, without knowledge of its location vis-a-vis a town with restaurants and stores. Turned out to be a short, 5-min. walk to town, with restaurants lining the streets. The orchid garden was an even shorter walk. The butterfly sanctuary is a taxi ride away. The setting couldn't be more beautiful or...

If you are looking for a great place to stay to launch your visit to the many reserves around the area this is it. It is in very close proximity to many restaurants, an orchid garden and reptile house, You can walk into the little village in minutes and find anything you might want or need. There are many plants...

We stayed at Arco Iris for 3 nights in January in a lovely little stand-alone cabin towards the back of the property. The price was very reasonable and the location excellent - just barely outside of town up the (walkable) hill from the wonderful Morphos restaurant. The staff was friendly and helpful and gave us plenty of information about things...

This hotel was perfect in everything except its location. That is to say, the cabin we were staying in was spacious, very comfortable, clean and quiet. But, the hotel is located pretty much in the village itself. From the pictures you get the idea that this could be an eco lodge in a jungle type environment, but that is definitely...

Wow! Arco Iris Lodge was perfect...literally perfect. We couldn't think of anyway to improve the hotel on the questionnaire at the end of our stay. The location is tucked down a driveway for a remote feel where you are surrounded by forest, but still located right in town! We loved our cabin in the woods & saw several agouti walk...

We wanted to visit Monteverde on our second trip to Costa Rica, but many reviews of the places to stay mentioned bugs and unclean quarters. Arco Iris Lodge is the direct opposite. It was very clean and very different from most places. We loved the all wood look and from a location standpoint, it was tucked behind the streets of...

Booking to stay here was a dream, always really helpful and responsive emails. Arrived to a super friendly reception, a clean room (which had the best shower I've had in Costa Rica!) and directions to places to eat (all delicious). First full day and had breakfast at the lodge. Excellent value, lots of choice and tasty local products (many grown...
