We had room 3. Ground floor, with a private bathroom. Great friendly staff, who will assist you with your Spanish and not default to English if you so wish. Good hot water shower, excellent light in both bathroom and bedroom. Comfortable bed with cosy blanket and quilt. The room is right next to the breakfast room and terrace so we...

After a not so great start in Monteverde, my first hostel abandoned and non-existent, my second room close to solitary confinement, driving my car into a ditch, I finally arrived at “Al Golfo”. I was met at the front desk by the very sweet and friendly Lili. I explained to her my panic, I had nowhere to stay and was...

We stopped here for three nights on our way from Alajuela to Tamarindo. Rooms are quite big and comfortable with private bath, there's a small kitchen in common where you can prepare your own meal and a breakfast service that has to be reserved to previous day. Recycle is the keyword as the recepcionists want the guests to be careful...

This is a great place to stay in Monteverde. Terrace, kitchen and common area offer wonderful views of Monteverde and it almost has this Alps feeling. Rooms are cosy, well equipped with comfortable beds, fridge and hot shower. Staff is super friendly and they help you book attractions with money return guarantee. They don't accept the cards when paying for...

I loved my stay in monteverde and vista al golfo. It's clean, the hot shower is needed in that kind of weather, the breakfast is OK, but the staff are super nice!! The kitchen for the travelers are just ok. The equipment is bad, and the guests seems to don't care much about leaving it like you want to find...

The staff here are super helpful and friendly. All your tours can be safely booked here, sometimes with a discount and transport. There is a choice of rooms, our bed was comfy , kitchen and sitting areas have great views when the weather is fine. Great value, breakfast, free tea and coffee all day are included for around £22 per...

I traveled with my partner and the view of the room was amazing - room 15 - the room had a dinning room and two well dressed beds. The host of the hotel is so respectful and friendly, you feel you stayed at a friend´s home. Total return on investment, I wish other hotels learn from this hotel to have...

Great Room, they do have dorm but we went for a room, Very spacious. They also have small kitchen place with microwave and refrigerator. Since you are in Monteverde I believe you cannot escape the wind. Gusting winds at 50 MPH might not allow you to sleep.

Pretty cheap to stay here. Huge room with awesome views! They make breakfast for you and busses for excursions will pick up here. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and gave some great recommendations for things to do and places to eat.

Somewhat far (compared to other lodging) from the main triangle, but had a nice view. I stayed in the dorm, it was nice and dark, but also had no ventilation (not even a fan) so it was very muggy and damp.

Thank Megan G
