Lodge is located in a nice garden area, lots of nose bears in the neighbourhood. Too bad the weather was bad, lots of rain and wind. Restaurant has good food and a great view. Staff was nice and friendly.

I have to say that I liked the rain forest/cloud forest better than the beaches! When we pulled in to the hotel, I thought, this is awesome. The restaurant is nice but waaaaay overpriced. For a $6 cab ride, you'll go to town and find several restaurants that are better and less expensive. They have their own zip line too....

My partner and I stayed one night here on our 10 day tour of Costa Rica. Beautiful place surrounded by rainforest and wildlife. We had a cabin that was second to none. Had breakfast(included in stay) in the restaurant and was very good. Watched exotic birds as we ate. Highly recommend this quiet and peaceful place.

A quiet, eco friendly place to stay in the mountains. Lots of hiking from the property. The complimentary breakfast was great. We had beautiful views, and got to see a lot of wildlife. Room was clean and comfortable, but cold. Staff was friendly. I would recommend this place, and stay here again.

Lovely setting in grounds teeming with wildlife (they must feed the coatimundis, and there are bird feeders) but unreliable wifi only round reception, no complementary coffee, few plug points. Choice of three breakfast styles with extras available at cost. Expensive for dinner with haphazaard service.

A wonderful location from which to launch hikes and exploration of Monteverde and Santa Elena. We spent 3 nights here. The room and bed are very comfortable, with rustic-looking wood paneled cathedral ceilings. A nice touch is the candles that they make available (with candle holders mounted into the walls) - including matches! Very romantic. The property has a very...

This is the second time we have visited this lodge and again we have got a warm welcome from the very friendly bilingual staff. The lodge is situated on a very peaceful and beautiful location where you can spot birds and other animals and the lodge has a superb view. For breakfast you can choose from three different kinds; they...

My wife and I enjoyed our stay here very much. The staff was terrific - from the front desk clerk to the groundskeepers to the dining hall folks - all professional and helpful in steering us toward neat options and ways to enhance our experience. The lodge is a bit out of town, but that was a bonus because we...

The hotel is located in Santa Elena, though you need to drive for some 5 minutes uphill to reach it as it is located on the hills where it offers you a very peacefull and quiet place to relax. Staff is very professional and helpful, though unfortunately woke us up by very loud screaming late at night as they apparently...

We stayed 2 nights at this lodge. It's outside the center, so no chance in walking to the center for dinner if you're not up to a multiple km long climb back home. Additionally, we had rain and experienced the "cloud" forrest. Heavy winds made it impossoble to sleep without earplugs and the temperature was so cold that we needed...
