Location is easy to get to...right off the main highway to town...easy parking, nice clean cabins, plenty of towels, good lighting, excellent views from our cabin, small kitchenette with all pots/pans/dishes/etc. We were met at the reception by the Owner, Christian Porras, when we checked in and he gave a thorough explanation of his grounds/cabins and things to do in...

Firstly, the owner Christian was an incredible host, from booking everything we wanted - tours, taxis, guides, etc and also giving us great advice on restaurants and the best way to get where we wanted to go. He also was kind enough to move us to a newly built beautiful house (at no extra charge) when my husband got sick....

Husband and I spent 3 nights here and give this place our highest recommendation. Christian is amazing and knows everything about the area...he previously worked as a night tour guide and he is extremely invested in making sure you get good information as well as get to see everything you want to while you're in town. We did not pre...

We have spent one night at Rainbow Valley Lodge. The lodge has only few bungalows, each offers a splendid view over the valley, including peninsula of Nicoya and the Pacific. The bungalow is very new, with a very nice bathroom and fully equipped kitchen. From the bed you can awake to see the sunrise out of panoramic windows. We could...

Very comfortable cabins on a hillside , with great views over the valleys and mountains and the ability to self cater in well equipped small kitchenettes . No food is served at all, but the hosts are more then happy to give lifts into town where there is a wide choice of restaurants available .The nature on your doorstep is...

We enjoyed our beautiful view from the side of the mountain. This is a topnotch well run lodge with all the amenities you will need if you want to cook a little .It is just outside of town within reasonable walking distance of groceries and restaurants. Christian warned us about the wind and noise from it ahead of time but...

This was our second time staying here and it was as good as we remembered. Quiet, especially compared to other lodges in the Monteverdi area. Great view from bed. Owner very helpful. We will be going back.

Rainbow Valley lodge is just out of downtown giving it a magical quietness but within reach of the hustle and bustle. Beautiful cabins and the owner Christian was the most helpful and gracious host. We saw wildlife including agouti and motmot from our cabin.

Set a little way out of Santa Elena town, transport is ideally needed to get into town and restaurants, However this means it is quiet. Each separate cabin is well fitted out with kitchen facilities (no breakfast available), and has a great view across the valley. No A/C but not necessary in cooler mountain district. Christian is very helpful and...

Our very private cabin was situated on the side of a hill with spectacular views of the valley and the coast beyond that we could enjoy from our covered porch. The situation requires guests to carry their bags either uphill or downhill from their car, but they can perhaps help with this, if needed. Our room was very basic but...
