I had the pleasure of visiting the Headfort just after the new year. The food was very good and I had the pleasure of being served by a very friendly waitress called Gemma. She went out of her way to make sure we enjoyed our meal! 5 star food and service.

Have been here a few times & the food has been only ever average. As there is not a great choice in Kells in the evening we went in again for a meal. I found both the adults & the childrens menus to be very overpriced. €7 for 3 small chicken nuggets & a few frozen chips per child! €15...

all the staff were nice and friendly but the woman making made to order sandwiches in the carvery was ridiculously grumpy, it was thrown together ( think prison camp warden!) slice of bread , crusts on, slather of marg, fist of tomatoes manually dumped on offending bread and a scowl , 4.95€ ! Surely Ireland can do better, Why do...
