We arrived late after a long day touring Waterford. Geraldine was expecting us and showed us to our room. Comfortable and spacious room. Since we were leaving before the included breakfast, she asked if we wanted Continental Breakfast in the morning. Coffee, scones, and bread greeted us early the next morning. Centrally located in Trim and not to be missed.

This was a great place, probably the nicest B&B at which we stayed in Ireland. Really nicely decorated and nice breakfast. Great hosts. The only reason this was a 4 instead of a 5 is that there was only a bath, and no shower in our room. The bathtub had an attachment with a portable shower nozzle, but there were...

Highfield House is outstanding and we cannot recommend it enough. From a warm welcome, immaculate rooms, stunning scenery, scrumptious breakfast and picturesque surroundings - this B&B has it all. To top it all off this wonderful residence is just a stroll away from Trim's bustling bars and restaurants. A memorable weekend away and we will be back!

My wife and I had a great stay here. This was where we spent our first night of our 10 day trip to Ireland it made for a great start. The location is perfect for checking out the town, our room was nice, and the breakfast was phenomenal (one of the best of our trip, and there was no place...

My wife and I visited Ireland for our 25th anniversary. Trim was our last full day before departing in the morning. I only wish that we had gotten to experience this place longer and earlier. The place is across from a great castle (Trim Castle), which we could see from our room. There were fresh scones, and coffee and tea...

This was a perfect location for visiting the town of Trim. We were in walking distance to the town and just down the street from the Trim Castle (where Braveheart was filmed). A highlight was the resident donkeys of the castle which loved to visit with the guests. The rooms at Highfield House were lovely including a very elegant bathroom....

In late October, we arrived quite early -- much to early for our reservation, as our flight was an early one and the car rental and drive took us much less time than we expected. We were exhausted after a sleepless flight and a nervous drive to Trim, but our hosts greeted us with warmth and good cheer -- and...

Loved, loved this guesthouse. Beautifully decorated in period pieces, lovely ambience and very generous hosts. Geraldine was a delight to chat with and told us all the good pubs for music. Breakfast was delicious with freshly cut fruit salad, eggs bacon and all the Irish bits! Great outlook over the river, ruins and the common which had some lovely walks....

We came to Trim without a reservation and asked the Information Center about our options. We were lucky that there had been a cancellation at the Highfield House. Can't say enough about it. The grounds are beautiful, the room furnishings are elegant, and the breakfast was perfect. We had other plans and only stayed one night, but wish we would...
