The Highfield House was a great place to stay while visiting Trim. Beautiful front garden, with lots of room to park off the road. The Trim castle is just across the street, and the rest of the town is easily walked to from the location....More
Lovely setting, amid big trees and gardens. Old stone house with hight ceilings, beautiful crown molding and tasteful carpets. Nice gardens and patio behind the building.
Hostess is friendly and engaging.

I agree with the answers above. Anywhere from 45 min to 1 hr. The roads in Ireland are mostly what we would call country roads in the US. There are some highways but nothing like what we're used to! In many places you have to pull into the weeds on the side of the road to let another car go by. I'd estimate an average speed of 45mph. Distance is not equal to minutes on the road. Good luck and enjoy that beautiful country!
