Depends on what you want. That part of Italy is very traditional and the village often have open air concerts but they do finish early. Not a place to go if you want a nightlife.

I have noted management has replied to my review but in Italian which I have no idea what was written. Noted past respond had been in English so the respond could have been in English. Anyway, I had your respond translated and it was incorrect. Management - please note these are true facts: On arrival, your lady reception wasn't very friendly and boasted this is the only grand hotel not associated with anyone. I asked for porter service and she said we don't have porter service. So we went to get our own bags. Your lovely gardener saw my daughter and I struggling and came to help voluntarily which I gave him a tip for his kindness. Your lady reception pointedly said we don't serve food till 12:30 but go down to the pool area to see if you could get food. She didn't arrange or offer to help at all and these are true facts - perhaps she is lying to you. She simply pointed to the back room to store our bags. Once again she just sat there and watched us pull all our bags into the room. We went down to the pool and was served by a very friendly guy. We ordered (not arranged by your reception) 3 coffee and asked if there is any food. He brought up plates of croissants and sweets - as I mentioned weren't fresh but we ate some as we were hungry and appreciated he had food for us but we paid too. Our room was greatly disappointing - very small and I think your bedspread could do with upgrading - very dated not a 4 star standard! Your internal hotel appearance and reception service are not the standard of 4 star and if you read bad past review it already pointed this out. Sadly we didn't read the bad reviews so clearly you have a way of removing bad reviews like I received an alert that a member has complained my review was not in compliance with the rules! My review is an honest opinion and if you read my many other reviews at other hotels, restaurants and store, I simply tell the truth. Your reception staff made no effort to help us. However, there was a short hair reception staff who spoke better English, she was friendlier and welcoming with a smile. I emailed your hotel explaining why what had happened and asked that your hotel honoured was he one night penalty offered when we asked and not 2 nights but you did not even reply. The email wasn't a treat but simply to alert management of the true facts. I don't think who classify your hotel rating - it is not a 4 star definitely. We have stayed in hundreds of hotels worldwide so we know ratings. This is the first hotel that did not live up to the hotel rating. Sorry. Ps - my son did contact your hotel prior to our arrival and said we require a third bed. There was no explanation about a small room. We booked your hotel because of the reviews but now could see how bad reviews appeared to be removed or truth being changed.

Apology for this posting in the "answer" section. It was meant for management to read as they posted their views highly inaccurate in their language and there is no provision to reply.
