We have been visiting Sant'Agata and Sorrento for about six years now and we always stay at either the Villa Romita or its parent hotel the Grand Hermitage. William and Renato - together with their team (the staff rarely change) - run a terrific hotel with the most relaxed and personable service. They treat us like old friends but to...

The first thing we noticed was the fantastic view over Sorrento and the Bay of Naples from our balcony. Room was clean, decent size and ideal for what we required. Safe always handy. 5 minute walk round the back to the small town of Saint Agathe where we ate regularly. The use of the hotel made the experience worthwhile. Staff...

We stayed at the Villa Romita, a villa just behind the Grand Hotel Hermitage just outside of Sorrento. It was a very nice big room, great bathroom and unbelievable views of Mt Vesuvius, the bay of Naples and Sorrento. The wifi is not very good, and there is no elevator, but it is quiet, and comfy and clean. The hotel...

Villa Romita is owned by the Grand Hotel Hermitage and is about 200 metres up a well lit private road from the main hotel. Originally built as a country retreat for the Neapolitan philosopher, Fernando Pepe in the 18th century the villa today offers a sense of peacefulness, relaxation and tradition. We booked through Thomas Cook and, on first arrival,...

The villa is attached to the hotel and you are able to use the hotel facilities- restaurant, pool, lounge etc. The hotel and villa is a bit dated but somewhat charming. The staff are very helpful and professional and the breakfast is good and plentiful-we ate in the hotel restaurant for breakfast. The pool is very nice and relaxing and...

We stayed here for two nights in August as we were attending my brothers wedding. The hotel was a pleasant surprise for us in that we had not expected it to have. Such good views. We had a corner room which looked out over the coastline and the mountains. Gorgeous. The balcony was perfect for sitting out on an evening....

The villa is a great places to stay, you have all the facilities of the hotel but are away from the main areas and nearer the village. We had a very large room with a balcony, the room was very clean comfortable if a little dated. The shower was tiny but never ran out of hot water. The only downside...

This hotel and villa combo is a great idea for people who don't want to be in each other's company all the time, the villa is situated far enough away to feel part of it but not forced to chat to people if you don't want to. The location is stunning, the views are beautiful! I could quite happily sit...
