If you go to sterkenburg to hang outside you will probably loose all your time inside the castle, looking at every strange object you see in every corner of the building. It is like a fairy tale, with lots of funny moments. If you are not from Europe and you think that Dubai hotels aesthetic is the top, don't go...

Although I visited and stayed at this Hotel in July 2015, the experience was so unique that it is still fresh in my memory. If you want to experience living in a castle originally built in the 13th century without the modern facilities which you are used to in a hotel, if you want to take walk in lush green...

One of the oldest castles in the region and the Netherlands. We got a nice tour from the owner during Open Monument Day and were positively surprised. Not only does the castle look stunning from outside, it hides some very interesting secrets! I'd love to stay the night on this interesting location!

When we booked this we were half expecting some kind of 'modern' castle (think Neuschwanstein), but were totally wrong. This is the real deal, a real castle, complete with old turret that winds up to a spectacular view on the terrace! It has a dual bridge over the moat - one for guests to the castle and the lower one...

We booked a Romantic VIP weekend in a special room. On the friday before arrival I recieved a call from the staff with the remark there was a double booking problem that they were trying to solve. I ordered a long time before so declined a request to reschedule. On the day of arrival we got the message there was...

The castle was beautiful and most of the staff was wonderful, however, the owner Alex acted VERY inappropriately.. He came into our room unannounced while my 11 year old daughter was having a bath and refused to leave when asked. All because he was doing a tour and wanted to show a group of over 15 people all the rooms,...

Ever wanted a night in a castle? In the Netherlands you can! A superb place to stay for business or just to get a rest. Very popular for weddings. Take a room in one of the castle towers during full moon and you think you live in the 17th century. You have to book the special rooms a few months...

I stayed here after a wedding party. The surroundings are nice and soothing. The castle itself and its rooms are nice, but not top notch. What does make the difference here is the personell. I had a coffee at 3pm on Saturday, when I woke up on Sunday and went to the breakfast room said: "strong coffee, no sugar right?"...

There are three rooms in the actual tower itself, one of which is the Owl room which we stayed in. The room was amazing, with a circular shape and high ceiling. It has an old cooper tub. The downside to this room is that the toilet has no walls around it, so you need to be staying with someone you...

We were staying with 7 people for 2 night. we stayed in the rooms in the building next to the castle and the rooms are special. The bathrooms are modern and the bedrooms are very simple. No TV, no hairdryer but they are nice anyway. I had a room that was very dark due to the trees outside. The staff...
