We came across this super pub after visiting Dundas aqueduct and were very pleased that we did. We were there at lunch time and decided to have the two courses for £12. We were not disappointed, in fact we enjoyed it immensely . We started with a delicious pea and mint soup and then I had bream served with new...

A great welcome and excellent beer, food and service for our group of 12 cyclists on a circular trip from Bristol. We sat at a long table in the attractive bar of this traditional pub. Highly recommended.

I stayed in a twin room on a Friday night after delivering a talk at Monkton Senior School, which is only a short walk away. The room was spacious with two single beds, TV, storage space and everything else you would expect at a good hotel. I especially loved the clean bathroom which had a beautiful bathtub, and I managed...

We stayed at the Wheelwright, well tucked away in a quaint and beautiful little village. It was quiet, the food was good, the staff friendly. Comfortable room, clean and spacious. Definitely recommend!

Stopped off here on our way home for an overnight stay. A bit shabby chic rooms but the pub is lovely with great food and a lovely atmosphere. A tad pricey for accommodation but I guess you'd pay more in Bath itself. I'm sure we'd use it again when we're next down that way.

Fantastic find-great friendly staff-home cooked food. Well appointed rooms-highly recommended. Great for business as the wi-fi is adequate. The fish and chips in the pub/restaurant was perfectly cooked and the portion size was perfect.

This is a top dog independent pub and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. excellent for walking and cycling. We visited the Prior Park and Thermae Spa in Bath. And enjoyed a cycle trip to Bath - cycle paths are extensive and would be pretty safe for youngsters. Stayed for three nights and ate in on each one which says something....

We were looking for somewhere to explore Bath from and it is a good location for that purpose. I had thought it was in walking distance, but the hills are pretty serious and I guess it would be an hour or so to walk. Nice pub, good food, good menu. I find it hard to rate independent pubs honestly, as...

This is an old building in a quaint village with bedrooms located in various outbuildings, all have full facilties. Ample residents parking. The pub is quiet and relaxed with fires in winter, it is mainly a dining pub with a good selection of...
