We found this hotel whilst exploring the Fife coastline following a few days in Edinburgh. It really is a "little gem". Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean and very comfortable with a private balcony and views over the golf course and water beyond. The staff were very welcoming and we had a delicious three course meal and a great nights...

As part of the wedding guests who have booked out the hotel, usually the guests receive a discounted rate. However, the Old Manor gave us old rooms (refurbishment were not carried out in time for the wedding) but still charged us refurbished prices. Furthermore, we could not use the showers at all. We stayed in a double room for 2...

Dear caroolz, thank you for taking the time to post a review following your recent stay - whilst I was pleased to read a number of the positive aspects relating to your stay, nevertheless I am concerned firstly that the matter relating to the faulty shower was not addressed immediately (ie calling out a plumber) and secondly that you were...

Good stuff: Shower, beds, pillows, coffee making facilities, food (really VERY good), most of the staff, view from the hotel, view of the hotel. Poor stuff: Room decor and modernisation, one of the staff. I do hate it when you book a hotel that looks fabulous but the shower doesn't work and the bed is lumpy and the breakfast is...

We stayed here so my husband could golf at St. Andrews. As it turned out, he was happy to play the Lundin Links Course next to the hotel which is a qualifing course for the British Open and plenty challenging. The hotel is a marvelously restored and maintained old in, very gracious and charming. The staff knocked themselves out, very...

I live very locally to the Old Manor and had been intending to try the Sunday lunch carvery for a long time. I know the hotel well having been there for business and various receptions so was looking forward to a nice meal overlooking the Forth from the conservatory. Booked well in advance and checked that the carvery was to...

Dear ChazAFife, thank you for your review following your visit for lunch last Sunday. Naturally I am most disappointed to read your comments, and would like to apologise accordingly. Having looked into things, it is clear that in the first instance, upon arrival, you should indeed have been seated in the conservatory. This was entirely the hotel's fault. Regarding the...

My wife phoned in the afternoon to book a table for that evening to celebrate our 33rd wedding anniversary, as an afterthought she enquired how much it would cost to stay the night and was offered such a good deal that she booked a room as well. The room we were offered had both a seaview and a balcony, it...

Spotted a sign outside for afternoon coffee and scones when driving past and decided to give it a try. So glad we did - a very well kept hotel in a lovely setting with excellent views over the firth and hotel gardens. The staff were very friendly and the coffee and scones were excellent! Would definitely recommend.
