This castle was exactly what I wanted: affordable but still felt like a castle inside. I was frustrated by all the other castles which were totally modern inside. This place still has the dungeon, lots of cool old rooms to explore, ghosts, and interesting history. Highly recommend this place!

Visited with my wife for a meal to celebrate our wedding anniversary (we were married there some years before). There appeared approximately 12 other people having dinner, the majority of which appeared to be guests. The staff were courteous and at tentative, whilst the menu offered 4-6 choices per starter, main and desert. The food was well prepared and just...

Just spent the weekend at the castle with my in-laws. Traditional Scottish castle which was steeped in history! Beautiful rooms and stairwells. The cons are the fact you don't get much for your money. Minimal grounds to walk without gardens. Very poor pressure in the showers. Average food with extra costs incurred in the breakfast for smoked salmon etc. All...

Myself and my partner stayed at this hotel for one night. This is a lovely place to stay, the building is outstanding. The staff were friendly. The room that we stayed in had just been newly decorated, which was lovely. The breakfast was enjoyable - plenty to choose from. The only real criticism that I have about this hotel was...

Slightly tired, but what would you expect from a building of that age, food was very good, both for dinner and breakfast, ghost tour very interesting, and some of the walks around the castle were very good, staff great, barman gave us in depth history on the whiskys, we would certainly go back.

This is an excellent spot for a break or a special occasion. The castle just oozes history - do join the ghost tour to learn more. The WiFi coverage is quite restricted and the water pressure could be better but these are minor issues - it is an old castle after all. The food is excellent, the staff very helpful...

Amazing history, location and hotel. I gave it a four on hotel facility only because it is a 12th century castle. If it would have been a newer building I would have gave it a five but when your several hundreds of years old you expect some wear but it was all good wear. The staff and food are excellent...

Hi Bristol I wouldn,t travel 8.5 hours to Tulloch Castle we only travelled 3. 5 hours & we were so disappointed with our accommodation. The scenery travelling up is quite spectacular in places & I,m sure you would enjoy but if you are travelling consider Pitlochry which is a lovely picturesque village with shops, walks, & round about are places to visit. I can,t personally recommend any hotel as I haven't stayed there but normally a place like the Fishersman Hotel is very popular & is always busy even gets coach parties. Hope this has been useful for you & if you come to Scotland enjoy yourselves.

We offer a History Tour of the inside of the Castle; with information of any ghostly activities for those that wish to know. This takes place most evenings when there are staff available to show guests around. The tour is free and there is no pre booking necessary. Looking forward to meeting you.

Parking is absolutely complimentary. This is no frills. When we showed up in the middle of the day we thought it was deserted. As it turns out our driver took us to the back (kitchen) entrance and there was nobody around. I was worried at first but it turned out to be so fun and such a nice stay. If you read my review I'm a Ritz kinda girl and having to lug my Louis Vuitton luggage up three flights of stairs didn't thrill me at first. But the place is so cool, the staff so exceptional, and the history so compelling I would be sad if I missed it.
