My partner and I booked the hotel as the finale for our trip to Scotland and it coincided with her birthday. We loved every minute of it. A lovely friendly welcome at reception, before being shown to the room. Room was fantastic and full of character. After a glorious, relaxing shower we headed for bar for a couple of pre...

Maybe a little biased being from the Davidson Clan- but we absolutely loved staying here- it was like returning home, we had room 17, very large and spacious with a cool canopy bed, not perfectly new but you must understand you are in a several hundred year old castle! The staff from beginning to end were friendly, helpful above and...

My wife and I were a bit apprehensive having read some poor reports AFTER we had booked. These reports were unfounded. We had a very pleasant stay. Nice spacious room, very friendly, helpful staff. The choice for breakfast was extensive and very good. We only ate in the bar in the evening and again the choice was varied, especially for...

Headed away for the night after seeing a Groupon deal (to then go on and see an even better deal on Bespoke website), and this hotel did not disappoint. Exactly what we expected - Dingwall doesn't offer much - weren't aware of any bars to head down to after drinks in the hotel at night, however arrived about 3pm, welcomed...

stayed here for 1 night on business last night, it was my third stay at this hotel, mainly due to the lack of competition in the area. Its clean and the rooms are large enough with tea and coffee making facilities but the rooms are a bit tired and have a bit too much Tartan twee going on. Given its...

We stayed here as part of an excellent deal which included a 3 course meal and bottle of wine. My husband upgraded our room to a four poster bed, which was a lovely surprise. The room was very clean and spacious with a separate sitting area a decent shower in the bathroom, and the bed was comfy. The receptionist was...

My husband's heritage stems from this castle, so we are fond of it for historical reasons. We stayed in one of the "haunted" rooms, but aside from the regular creaks and bangs of an old building, we didn't experience anything odd. The food was quite good and the staff very helpful. For our anniversary, my husband and I were able...

Lovely old quaint hotel. Warm welcome at reception. Had a quick bite to eat in bar, no complaints. Not the best choice of draught beers on offer, when we were there it was cans of Tennents being served. Breakfast was great. Our Room was large and warm. We walked into the town a 25 minute walk downhill, got a taxi...

We have just come back from a night in room 15 but failed to spot the ghost! The food was great and the ghost tour of the castle was amazing. Ok so the fabric is a little tired and the room a bit cold with radiators behind the curtains but the atmosphere and welcome were amazing. Many thanks for a...
