Detailed Reviews
First there is security guard so it feels safe, staff take your suitcases, check in is fast and easy if you speak Portuguese (my partner did all the talking, staff do not speak English). The room was amazing, cleaned everyday, comfortable and free beverage in fridge. However, use water in bottle to brush your teeth, once the water from the tap was a bit smelly. Great food at any time, alcohol included. Staff can arrange day trip for you (however if you walk to town you can find cheaper price), there is a souvenir market right next to the resort open everyday, Kids go free so there are a lot of kids. we used the pool when they were eating or having a nap and eating when they were playing so we did not cross too many. Lots of moskito at night though. Day and night activities are ok, Brazilian seemed to enjoy it. Staff alway say Bon did and are ready to help. we saw crabs, birds, lizards and tiny monkeys. there is a sauna and a gym for free and you can book a massage. They were renovating and expecting bigger facilities. The free "walk" was ok but don't expect something amazing.

My brother lives in Recife and I went to visit for holidays in November/December 2020. Covid was raging. We decided to head to Salinas Maragogi as they were operating at half capacity and only about an hour and a half drive away. It’s beautiful! The hotel was sold out at half capacity so there were a lot of people but most were respectful and practiced social distancing. I don’t speak Portuguese like my brother, but I tried with order my drinks and the servers were all nice and helped me with English when I couldn’t get the Portuguese! The restaurant is buffet style and there were many options. I do not eat meat and still was fine eating every meal. We rented a boat for a few hours one day and did wake boarding. The driver was nice and it was so beautiful to be out on the water with no one around. He took us to an area where we could actually get out of the boat and the water was up to about our waists.
I would definitely recommend coming here. You have to drive through a very poor area of town to get to this resort and it is heart breaking. I hope this resort provides a lot of jobs for the local population. The staff were all very friendly and we enjoyed our stay. They even have a soccer field that is closed off so the ball never goes too far!

I stayed in the second half of November (from 11/17 to 11/22) and I have nothing to complain about. From arrival to check-out, everything was smooth, without any problems. The Resort's employees are always helpful, friendly and ready to answer any questions or assist us. Clean and well-maintained environments, with lots of activities to do throughout the day and good shows at Espaço Cabanas at night. The pools are heated, which helps a lot to stay in them until the sun goes down. Food was plentiful and tasty (contrary to some negative comments I read that they had no taste and were bland). There is so much variety that it is impossible to try everything even if you stay for several days! Drinks are also very good, especially drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Spacious and very comfortable room with good sound insulation. We stayed in the pool area and even with the music and noise coming from the activities, when closing the window the sound was practically nullified. Speaking of the room, we got a room upgrade, I think because we were a member of the “Tô De Volta” Diamond category program. Speaking of the program, it is well worth subscribing for the benefits it provides. I only paid R$40 for 2 people on the trip to the natural pools because I had a discount of R$200 for being a member, in addition to the round-trip transfer from the Airport to the Resort, the possibility of choosing the location of the room, priority service, etc. Another thing that is also worth hiring is the photo service they offer inside the complex as they look really good and are worth the price they charge! Regarding the sea in front of the hotel, which many complain is not blue because of the river that flows next door: I knew this detail when I was researching where to stay and I found out that in the winter and rainy season (June to September + or -) the sea becomes darker. However, during my stay the weather was firm and without rain and the sea was clear even in the resort area. So choosing the right date for your trip helps a lot in this regard. In short: Salinas Maragogi fulfilled its purpose, which is to provide moments of joy, fun, pleasure and enchantment to guests by offering quality services. Congratulations to all employees of the complex for the services provided. You can go without fear of regretting it, it’s worth the investment!

The resort is excellent and really a true all-inclusive. Good range of food and drinks and the beer was usually stupid cold as they lock some fridges to ensure only 1 is opened at a time. The drinks have a good variety and are ok, I found them a bit "baked" in the sense that they were weak (I believe so people don't get drunk easily). There are practically no waiters at the resort, any food or drink you want you will have to pick up yourself, except in the restaurant which operates by reservation and the one next door which is on a first-come, first-served basis (in fact, these could be better in terms of food and the service was slow, I didn't think it was anything special and I thought it was worth eating in the main restaurant). The main restaurant is extremely noisy, they should offer more tables outside but there is always a lot of variety of food and overall we think it's all good. It's just a bit zoned out as the flow is a bit confusing/cramped so people keep meeting each other but there are practically no queues to get food. What impressed me most was the lifeguard structure in the pools, my daughter is 3 years old and still doesn't know how to swim perfectly and there are many pools there, but there are at least 8 lifeguards who seemed to me to be very well trained, which gives a little of relief to parents. It has pools of varying depths suitable for all ages, from newborns to adults and all have depth indications.
The shows/theatres at night are interesting but I found the volume too high for young children and could even be harmful to their hearing. Furthermore, the sound reaches the rooms and is quite annoying for those who want to sleep before midnight, it should be quieter. We stayed in block 2 and the good thing is that you can reach the main restaurant through a covered area, the room has plenty of sockets, a safe, a small balcony with a retractable clothesline. The bathroom is also good, the shower has pressure, it has a hygienic shower, but the shower is super low, anyone over 1.80 will hit their head when getting in and out. The minibar has plenty of water, Stella beer and always 1 Nescau in a box, the replacement was good. As this wing is next to the parking lot, my door had several locks making me feel safe. The beach is not very beautiful as the water is not crystal clear right in front of the hotel but at least it is calm for children to get into the water and for around R$130 you can take a trip to the natural pools and Antunes beach where the color of the water is beautiful. In summary, it is a very good hotel for those with children (especially small ones) as it has a lot of entertainment and not for couples as it is not romantic at all and is very "zoned" in my opinion.

I stayed at Salinas Maragogi with my husband in November and we were extremely happy with our choice.
The resort is incredible without a doubt, it has a great structure, all the staff are attentive, polite and helpful from the moment we arrive until it's time to put our bags in the car to leave.
Real premium drinks and food, several food outlets spread throughout the resort both throughout the day and at night, we have nothing to complain about, we visited the resort on a long holiday date, you could see that it was quite busy, but it wasn't We had no problems with waiting, queues, lack of food and drinks, nothing at all, there is great organization and concern for guests... There is also lots of fun, activities and music all day long and quieter spaces for those who don't like the hustle and bustle .
The place is beautiful, the beach is very calm and has warm waters, swimming pools are very clean and well maintained, tables and chairs spread throughout the complex, the opening hours of the restaurants, bars and pool are great.
I don't have children but I could see that Salinas is extremely concerned about little ones and teenagers. There are many activities from early to late at night and many monitors and age group divisions. The circus and Harry Potter play at Halloween were beautiful, congratulations to the entire team who created it as they were outstanding, without a doubt.
The shows for adults and live music were also very good.
I was allocated to the Victoria Regia block and the experience couldn't have been better, brand new room, very beautiful, comfortable, well lit, great balcony overlooking a garden with a koi pond, the bathroom is wonderful with a separate toilet, excellent shower, face and full-length mirror, strong hairdryer... Alexa that turns the lights on and off, turns the air conditioning on, off and controls the temperature, plays your favorite music, turns the TV on, off and controls the volume (all by command voice), sensational.
Every day the room was cleaned and tidy, the towels were replenished and you could feel the care of the maid with her little flowers on the bath towels every day.
There was shampoo, conditioner, body and hand soap and body cream from Loccitane, a well-stocked minibar too, if you didn't have any you could just pick them up from the food outlets scattered around and take them to the room.
We took the Beach music tour sold separately by the resort's nautical space and it was delightful, live music on a catamaran that passed by beaches in the region and inside the boat there were unlimited drinks, free of charge, bathroom, life jackets, in short, everything to be a great tour.
In short, it was an excellent experience.
In February 2023 I was staying with my husband at the Japaratinga lounge resort and now at Salinas, both are wonderful. We are very happy and looking forward to returning.

Starting with the transfer, it is a little longer than in the various resorts in Brazil. Checking information, we chose to arrive via Recife, requiring a journey of at least two hours by reasonable road. But when it arrives, it's just joy!
As we had already pre-checked in, everything was quick and easy. At noon we received the bracelet that gives the right to use the facilities provided by the resort and the apartment was only released at 3:00 pm. Excellent service from arrival to departure.
When the reservation was made, we booked an apartment in the Vitória Régia Block, which I assume is the most recently built. Everything was designed to offer an excellent service: large room, balcony with table, chairs and clothes dryer, bathroom, plenty of LED lighting with voice control (Alexa), beds, linen, mirrors, black out curtains, air conditioning, minibar, safe, support furniture, TV, etc.... There are separate bathrooms with a Deca Aqua Plus shower plus a ceiling shower, a sink with a white top and a cabinet with a toilet.
Very good and plentiful food (coffee, lunch, snacks and dinner), with some varieties as the days went by. We just weren't happy with the picanha, it was always very tough. The rest offered, all without restrictions. Few queues and good replacement. The grill sector highlights, always at least one fish, chicken, pork and beef. Great desserts, with sweets and fruits, completed with ice cream. Food offered even during the early hours of the morning, as after the main restaurant (Galés) closes, you can have a snack next to that place.
Free drinks in freezers located throughout the resort, popsicles, coconut water with soft drinks or fruit. Drinks with and without alcohol and coffees spread across various locations.
Service at sea (calm and pleasant temperature) we didn't use, but it is available. Good swimming pools with good infrastructure of tables, chairs and sun loungers. Highlighting something that few resorts offer, two heated swimming pools. It's true that it's small, but it meets the demand for those who enjoy warmer waters that extend bathing until 9pm.
In an area neighboring the resort there is a small shop on the beachfront, like stalls selling souvenirs and clothes.
And with the intention of collaborating or reviewing an issue, I mention the volume in the shows. It's too loud, poor eardrums, they don't deserve it. We didn't watch any presentation, we sat near the Galés restaurant listening to the noise. Evaluate, because volume is not quality.
And when it's time to leave, you'll certainly want to repeat your stay. Simple and quick check out, confirming the excellent service.

First time at a resort and I chose Salinas. Upon arrival there we had the grateful surprise of getting an upgrade in the room category when checking in. I had booked the Standard and we went to the Garden which is much closer to the beach and more spacious.
Everything is very well organized and all staff are very friendly and attentive. Any problem they solve very quickly.
Along with the booking we also contracted the transfer which was very punctual. Upon arrival in Recife was already waiting and we left immediately, on the return arrived exactly at the time set without any complications.
We also use the foot massage toast which is excellent. It was just call and mark with the spa that is inside the resort. The place is extremely professional and just by entering you are already relaxed. It was so good that we bought a home whole body massage that is very worth it.
Now talk about the food. I think I burned the hunger fuse of all I ate. By the second day I was no longer hungry. It is a lot of food of excellent quality and without misery. The buffet restaurants are a bit full during the main meals but when it fills there is an employee at the door leading you to the free tables. The cleaning staff do not rest for 1 minute, everything is cleaned quickly and the buffet meals are served all the time, even if you arrive at the end.
It is also possible to buy tours with an agency inside the resort. Prices should be a little higher than in the agencies outside but it is worth the amenities you get out already from the beach in front of the resort and the tours do not come out full or messy. We made two tours, one to the natural swimming pools of big bar and another by the beaches.
The a la carte restaurants are great, you can book as many days as you want and the food is more exquisite. I thought I could have more vegetarian options. There was only one vegan option in each restaurant and my wife didn't like it very much, could have pasta or something for those who eat eggs and milk at least.
I think the only thing that bothered me a little really was the lack of education of some guests that make the hallway of the building leisure area at 7 a.m. and something more personal is that it has a lot, but many children indeed. These hands. So everywhere you go has some child crying or screaming picking up birra and this, especially at the time of eating, bother a little mostly because I have misophonia.
The beach in front of the resort is not good, the water is quite brown due to the river that has on the side (and passes inside the resort) but it is always warm and calm. By the beach making a walk of about 20 minutes is possible to reach the center of Maragogi.
On the resort side there are some containers with some shops that sell beach clothes and souvenirs in addition to bug touring.
Overall the experience was excellent and what annoyed me (in particular) is not under the resort's control. I left with the feeling that I was very well taken care of from the time I arrived until the time I left.

Wonderful experience. Real all inclusive, quality food and drinks, and very comfortable, super family atmosphere, I highly recommend it for those who want attractions for children, there are many children there, because the programming during the day and night is very attractive for the kids. Every night at Espaço Cabanos there is a different attraction, both for children and adults. The maid Emanuelle was very careful in cleaning and replacing towels in my room (813), always leaving a little flower there. My vacation leaves me wanting more and with a huge desire to come back.

The best of the resort is its location, opposite a paradisiacal beach, calm sea, with access to natural pools.
The room of the Victory Regia wing is quite new, spacious, modern, comfortable bed (but has no dirt, only a fine blanket), wide table to use the laptop and great shower.
The wifi works very well throughout the hotel.
The pools are more focused on children as they are small and shallow and there is none with swimming stripes, and not even swimming pools for adults only.
The service is pretty bad, I complained at the reception that the phone from the room did not work on the first day, I stayed 4 days and nothing was done. I complained that such a massage courtesy in the SPA was misleading propaganda, since there was no availability in 4 days, and nothing was done.
For an all-inclusive resort the meals leave much to be desired. There are only 3 restaurants, and the Basilica and the Mandacaru (which are a la carte) when you arrive only have availability for 3 or 4 days later. The main restaurant (Galés) is a super bandage, lots of food, but little quality. Dinner is themed, and each day of the week is a different theme (Oriental, Italian, Arabic. Mexican). But the rest is always the same, and even desserts are quite repetitive. And the Galés air conditioning doesn't work very well. The Galés is small for the size of the resort and it is difficult to find a vacant table. There is also the Terraço Grill, meat, near the beach, but the meat is not a tasty picay, but rather a steak without much taste.
For a daily of more than R$ 2,000, one expects a prime service and a first meal, which is not the case.
The room of the Victory Regia wing is quite new, spacious, modern, comfortable bed (but has no dirt, only a fine blanket), wide table to use the laptop and great shower.

From 0 to 10 the rating for this resort is 11! The only reason it's not 12 is because I noticed the lack of more tables with umbrellas in the pool area. The sun is excessively hot and we lack more shaded areas to protect ourselves from direct exposure to the sun. Other than that, a little attention to the gym would be enough. The gym is great, the only thing missing is maintenance with oil on the equipment. The food is fantastic!!!! Varied dishes of incredible quality!! Drinks, snacks, ice cream, all you can eat, spread throughout the resort. The room is excellent and cleaning done daily. The maid every day left an animal-shaped towel on the bed, with small flowers, all very tasteful and neat. Every day at night there are different performances for entertainment. During the day, the recreation team works hard to provide activities for adults and children. There is also the illustrious presence of Iguanas, Marmosets, cats and other animals that give the place a special charm. Excellent service from all hotel staff combined with the friendliness that is a trademark of our beloved Northeasterners!! Salinas Maragogi is by far the best resort in Brazil!!!!
