Had the most amazing two days, peace and quiet, a very tranquil, rural location with excellent meals. Wonderful accommodation, very helpful and friendly staff, even had hugs as we left. Will definitively be going back.

We thought th hotel was great -good atmosphere of a typical old country NZ pub; but would not stay again because we felt the accommodation was overpriced. Cost was $150 for the night ($75pp) but that was with shared bathroom facilities and nothing in room except the beds basically - so a bit steep esp when u make comparisons. Also it's pretty noisy unless u get a room right at th bac. I would stop in again for a drink or lunch
