We recently visited this wonderful hotel for the second time and hopefully will visit again. It's a beautiful old house with a warm mellow feeling about it, we upgraded and stayed in the Louis seiz room in the main building, a very light, spacious room with fabulous views from the large bay windows. Reception staff very friendly and helpful, good...

Superb setting in wonderful Devonshire countryside with views to die for. Fabulous room, with excellent service from all members of staff. Definitely fine dining in the Dartmoor View restaurant, and their bistro bar also provided first class fare. The golf course is interesting if a bit compact. We did not use any of the other facilities which ranged from indoor...

Just returned home from a two night break at Highbullen. Have absolutely no complaints. The rooms very comfy, the food in the restaurant delicious and the golf fun. The well maintained house set in a very peaceful setting and the staff could not be more helpful. Will have no hesitation recommending Highbullen to friends.

Lovely relaxed hotel. We had an unexpected upgrade to the spacious Exmoor room with pleasant views across the valley. Food was excellent with good service. Plenty of sitting areas around the grounds if you don't feel like venturing far, with lovely views of course. So many places to sit and relax inside the hotel too which added to the relaxed...

Highbullen is a country house/country club with 18 hole golf course. We took up an offer in the Daily Telegraph, for £19 each for 2 nights Dinner, bed and breakfast, with a bottle of chilled Prosecco on arrival. Also included was free entry to the RHS gardens at Rosemore. An excellent deal. We were allocated the Loft Suite, which comprised...

Stayed in this lovely hotel, was so very peaceful. We stayed on DB&B basis which meant we had to choose from The Cellar Restaurant menu on the evening, the menu is fine, but I found the restaurant lacking atmosphere, we wish we had known when we checked in that we could have actually eaten our evening meal in the Devon...

An architecturally interesting grand house in the middle of the beautiful North Devon countryside with excellent hospitality and accomodation. That's the summary, but some aspects deserve special mention: the staff without exception were extremely friendly and helpful. The food was excellent in both the Cellars and the more formal restaurants where our children were welcomed. The view from the main restaurant...

Really enjoyed our stay. The location is stunning and the receptionists are extremely friendly, more so than anywhere I've stayed before.
