Recently, while traveling to Saadani National Park, our family visited the Saadani Lodge to inquire about accommodations.
Upon arrival, we were shocked by the negative attitude given to us by the manager. He did not offer a tour of the facilities and it was obvious...More

I had a wonderful stay at Sanctuary. The rooms are big, spacious and there are even outside showers. The concept of going on a game drive of river safari and afterwards relaxing in front of your rooms on the beach - wow. Birdlife is great...More
We visited Saadani because we had been to the Northern Parks and wanted to visit a place on the ocean in Tanzania. However, we also needed a place where friends from Dar es Salaam could meet us for the weekend. Saadani was the perfect choice....More

The beach does have a few local people, however they were very respectful, more so than we saw in Zanzibar. Only 1 young man approached my teenage sons trying to sell something in 4 days. The water is not as clear as Zanzibar. Part of it was due to being near the River which flows into the sea. When we were there snorkeling would not have been possible from the lodge, but apparently could have been arranged with a short boat ride.
