The hot spring bath in the hotel was good, and the room for 3 adults were really nice, clean and quiet. However, the staff were not very friendly. Whatever you asked them, they were impatient and not helpful. The access is also not very good. It is basically impossible to get to the hotel without a car. There are nothing...

Yukai Resort hotels are great value for money..if you are looking for a Japanese experience with dinner and breakfast included in the price.Return coach transfers from Nagoya are offered for 3,000 yen. There are two Yukai Resort hotels in Yamanaka Onsen.The Grand Hotel is a good twenty minute walk from the town itself and the river.The hot spring baths in...

“An adequate stay..but if I went to Yamanaka Onsen again I would try out the sister hotel that is near the river...and is just a straight walk into the main street and the river beyond. If I stayed at the Grand Hotel again I would try to stay in a lower floor room.”
