I've stayed with the Metropolitan several times. The location is perfect, it's within the train station so it's the shortest distance when you get off the Shinkansen. At least one of the front desk staff spoke English. Rooms are bigger (but not by a lot) than most Japanese business hotels, so this is a luxury. Other co-workers have also stayed...

Room was clean and tidy, but not the biggest I have been. OK for business but not great for a family. There were even some rooms for smokers. The hotel was great for the station and was in a good location for the local restaurants.

Good comfortable hotel, actually located within the train station complex. Rooms quite small, but larger than some in hotels in Japan ! Breakfast is poor in hotel, so would recommend eating outside - there are lots of options in the train station.

Location is very good close to a lot of restaurant. Rooms are clean en relax but small like any other Japanese hotel. Breakfast is Ok for European guests. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are on upper levels thus nice view over Takasaki.

I stayed here for three nights and everything was good. It is located within the Takasaki station west exit. Below the hotel was the mall which is another plus. Restaurants, shops and convenient stores are easily within your reach. the room was an average for Japanese hotels - Not too spacious but well organized. The lobby is also great. You...

Located right next to JR Takasaki Station, you don't even have to go outside just use the west exit. If you are carrying large luggage turn left at Lotteria and use the elevator to the 6th floor. If not, turn right and go up the escalator then take the elevator to the 6th floor to get to the hotel. This...

I stayed there for one night, in room#701. The location, lobby was great. But as I entereed the room it was disappointing. The room was crammed, with a single bed. One had to hop over chair to reach the writing table. The bathroom was ok. Not really value for the money.
