Before you stay here, ask yourself how you would get on at work if you were rude and unhelpful to clients. And if you like giving your hard earned cash to people who are, then this is the place for you. If you're not, avoid it. We arrived early in the rain on bikes and were told in no uncertain...

We stayed here in August and sadly have to report that the place is just not the same. There has been a change in ownership at the beginning of this year and quite frankly it does not live up to the previous comments reviewed before October 2013. The car park in front of the Auberge looked distinctly unkept with dead...

Came across this place whilst visiting friends in the Limousin area. Everything about it was excellent. The restaurant was very tastefully decorated, plenty of space between tables which meant you weren't engaging in other peoples' converastions. Plenty of choice on the 3 course lunch menu. The food was expertly prepared and presented. The desserts are to die for. Indeed, a...

We were placed in this hotel by another local hotel that double booked our stay. Thank you other hotel! Auberge Le Saint Leo Bon is a great place with stone walls, wood floors and a charming rustic feel. Spacious bedrooms. Free car parking is available for guests. Beautiful large gardens to the rear of the hotel to enjoy an evening...

Booked a night here to break up the long journey from the ferry at Le Havre to a holiday in the south. Arrived to a very warm welcome and were shown to our enormous and beautifully appointed room. A cot had already been set up for our baby, who was travelling with us. Enjoyed a walk around the very pretty...

Chose hotel because of good ratings and proximity to motorway to SW France near Limoges. Well worth the 20min diversion from motorway. Located in small village next to old church. Good sized room fitted out with quality fittings. Clean and with great bed. Gardens rustic and lacking in quality seating but not central to rating. Owners really welcoming and helpful....

We'd driven for eight hours by the time we reached this auberge, so the friendly welcome and our vast, airy, comfortable room and bathroom overlooking the big garden were exactly what was needed. Original floorboards, a simple, stylish decor and leather chairs to sink into - perfect. We ate really well, got caught in a thunderstorm in the village afterwards,...

My husband and I stayed here November 2012 and after a long day of negotiating the French roads from Toulouse we arrived here in the evening and was welcomed by Jacqueline who was expecting us. She showed us to a wonderful room which was charming and lovely and warm after a cold, rainy day. We upacked and went down to...

Circumstances (in the form of a strike by Brittany Ferries' crews) sent us back to Le St Leo Bon a year after our first visit, and I am delighted to report that it has maintained its high standards and improved in some areas. The welcome, comfort, dinner and value are excellent here - we were in a different room this...

wow this place is superb and fantastic value for money, if in the area you must try it. No expense has been spared in the refurbishment but it still retains its quirky charm and character, the rooms are spacious and a fabulous ensuite, the creaky floors just added to the ambience, the food is fantastic but be warned the five...

“If you're cycling, ask for the large ground floor room as there is a door onto the parking area and we could have brought our bikes indoors.”
