Nice hotel, easy to find with plenty of parking, right on the banks of the Mosel river. We had room 36 - a large room with a balcony facing the river. The view of the river is obscured by trees along the bank but hey it was nice and peaceful. We found the staff friendly and helpful. Our arrangement was 3 nights plus one night gratis - bed, breakfast (plentiful continental) and evening meal hot buffet with salad bar. Easy striking distance to tour both the Mosel valley to Cochem and the Rhine valley from Koblenz to Boppard at leisure. The one downside to the hotel was that there was no bar/lounge as such to relax after diner. Other than that it was a very pleasant stay.

The shower head holder was broken, the water temperature could not be controlled properly unless you turned the water flow to max, turning the shower into something that could be used as a waterjet to remove green algae from stone. The interior is very dated (if you loved the early 80's, then this is the place for you). The beds are very firm. There are no power sockets next to the beds. No free Wifi available. When we told the reception about the shower problem there was no response, very rude! This might have been a three star hotel once, but not in this day and age. Please please avoid!

My wife and I stayed some three nights in Moselblick and we were astonished. Really great ambiance in a wonderful romantic hotel. Nice Christmas ornaments all over the place. Perfect rooms ( more than 35 m2) with direct view on the river Mosel, good food, fresh made and not to forget the staff. They were nice and helpfull al these days Perhaps in the spring season for another small vacation?

I spend the weekend with my wife and kids at this wonderful hotel. It rooms are set either with a view into the famous wine country or overlooking the rhine river. The hotel is family run and makes you feel at home: super service and great cuisine. With its nice rooms, beautiful location and a friendly family touch I can only recommend it. The family weekend turned out really romantic given the scenery and setting. Great hideaway on the Rhine!

We, myself and my wife, have visited the place this year, during our summer road trip "tour" across Rhineland in 2012. the hotel is nestled in the small village of Winningen and has some great views at the Mosel valley. Make sure you ask for Kirsten - the heart and soul of this place and excellent source of guide info about the region also advise on the best local riesling wine :) which you can find in the hotel restaurant in combination with some great food. Clean, comfy and spacious rooms with nice beds and linen in combination with the crisp air in the valley help you enjoy great nights sleep. Definitely a must visit location if you are travelling in south west Germany. Thank you for all your warm hospitality and see you again! Josh and Sarah.

How can anyone keep a hotel without acceping any credit card in 2013?! At least they don't leave any electronic foot-print on payments, I wonder why. Fortunately the ATM, three kilometres from the hotel, was open. After every meal they expect you to pay immediately your bill - cash. Last night we offered the credit card/EC cash cards which were rejected. That was added to the bill which we paid when checking out. Perhaps it was only one time mistake from them as when we had a second look at the drinks' bill they were higher on some items than initially announced - and you are expected to pay immediately cash! They don't sell stamps, neither take the post cards to post them - against payment. This has never happened before anywhere. We asked if they had any area map or brochure/map of winerys. The only had one small leaflet of one wine shop - in the middle of Mosel valley! Never been before in a hotel where they don't have a simple map, even against payment. No WiFi, just an external internet service provider, costing 15 euros per day! (at home you get it for the whole month for 15 euros). Rooms were ice cold when we entered. Food was quite average, semi-finished products. "Service" and the staff's behaving was rude and very unfriendly. I was told that it is my problem, that they don't accept any credit cards. A hotel to be avoided.

I stayed at this hotel as part of a coach tour for a New Year’s Eve break, 3 nights in total. The hotel was better than I was expecting. The location on the Mosel River is lovely, the room’s very spacious, comfortable beds, lounge area and balcony. A few minor niggles: no mirror over or near the dressing table but I soon moved one from another wall and propped it up. Very dim lighting, in the rooms, even with the main light and 3 lamps on it was difficult to see properly for applying make up. We were in a conference room off the main reception area which was okay but cut off from the main restaurant. The restaurant looked lovely, very nice decor and fireplace. Again a few niggles, one was not having a proper bar area so after we had eaten our meals there was nowhere to go and sit. Most people went back to their rooms as the alternative was to remain at the dining table with your drinks which wasn’t really what we wanted to do. We could have tried walking into Winnigen but we were not sure how far it was or what was open around New Year. I enjoyed the food, the staff were very accommodating and hard working, again would have been nice to have been able to buy local wine in the hotel as we were in the wine region but instead the only red they had was Italian (Euro 20)!! I bought a bottle of red at the wine tasting literally 200 yds down the road (Euro 6). A small bottle of water in the hotel was Euro 6, which I thought was astronomical!!!!! All in all the hotel was nice but maybe Germany isn’t the right place to celebrate New Year as it all went a bit flat. Would have been nice to have a bar area to sit and lounge, maybe some fizzy wine to celebrate with (we got nothing) and would have been nice to wander into Winnigen in the evenings. I would recommend this hotel if you are hiring a car and exploring the region but would rather be more central next time as there were plenty of hotels along the river in a number of towns all lining the Mosel and the Rhine where you could wander out in the evenings and frequent a bar. It suited the tour as we had an action packed itinerary so did not have much spare time for exploring the immediate area.

I stayed here for a month when i was working on a nearby winery. I wanted to write a short review, because i think that's the least i can do. The Hotel is very nicely located - right beside the famous Mosel river. It's spectacular and very "humble" at the same time. The interior itself is classy and elegant, but not over the top in anyway. Rooms are cozy and lean towards the finer side of living. Rooms and the restaurant have very nice paintings on the walls and all-in-all the atmosphere is very warm. The restaurant is high-end. Food was always good, consisting mainly of local products, as was the wine list. The wine list also had some other regions represented, but was focused on the regions producers - as it should be. In my mind at least. I also want to make a special "hats off" -gesture for the breakfast, which was just plain awesome! The owners and the staff was extremely warm and welcoming. I always felt very "safe" and genuinely looked after. I think that this place, and the region itself, is something that everybody should experience. I
