The masseria was quite nice with a large pool. The food was good--we had one amazing dinner and one where the wait staff completely forgot about us and were surprised when we walked into the kitchen to remind them that we were still there. The wifi was iffy but who cares--we were on vacation.

Masseria Montelauro is surprisingly 15 years old: I was impressed when the charming owner told me so and then she explained that every year they empty every room and repaint everything, walls, furniture, windows etc: the results was impeccable, so fresh and clean, very nice. The garden and the pool are to die for, I could have spent all my...

Not far from the town and sea, the masseria is beautifully located. Rooms are large and airy with light colors. Bed is very comfortable. Bathroom is ok with a small negative point for the not so practical shower curtain. Breakfast has all the local choices. The only thing missing was eggs or bacon to order. Staff was extremely helpful and...

Of the 3 masserias visited in Puglia, this one was by far the most expensive at 209 euros per night for a basic room, so accordingly my standards are high. On the positive: - very well situated relative to the charming town of Otranto, which is literally 5 minutes away. - superb salt water swimming pool and especially enjoyed having...

What a great place. Family owned and operated, where the family pay personal attention to the business with an all local team handling the guest service. Truly a wonderful experience. First the staff. Outstanding! It's very easy to build a personal relationship with the team at Masseria Montelauro, and I found that this only added to the experience of staying...

We loved Masseria Montelauro, it was a little tricky to find in the countryside near Uggiano and Otranto, but once you discover this charming hotel and go through the tall wrought iron gates you find yourselves in an oasis of calm and beauty. The welcome was efficient. The room was charming, understated yet stylish, with an extremely comfortable and wide...

The Masseria is a beautiful home in the country shared with its guests by the Owners. The hotel is beautifully maintained and has a particular charm missing from a corporate property. All of the staff was exceedingly friendly. The food was excellent and the service first rate. The pool and the area around the pool was a refreshing respite from...

We stayed at this masseria during a VBT trip. The setting is beautiful! The pool area is lovely, and the structures are white and inviting. The donkey and miniature horses add an old world charm, as do the eight dogs on the property. However, I was a bit disappointed in the breakfast offerings, and the one dinner we had I...

This is a very modern looking hotel, rather than a traditional masseria. Public areas and bedrooms are very attractive and well appointed. Our room overlooked the swimming pool and had a very comfortable sitting area just outside. We ate in the restaurant twice and enjoyed both meals. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel is ideally located for driving...

The former masseria has been converted to a high standard, set in a rural location with attractive courtyard garden and large swimming pool. We stayed one night in a classic room on the first floor of the main building which was spacious, quiet and comfortable. We moved for 3 nights to a de luxe room on the ground floor created...
