TH Cinisi – Florio Park Hotel is located by the sea and faces the splendid Gulf of Castellammare with a view of the picturesque fishing village of Terrasini. It is immersed in a luxuriant 4-hectare park, in one of the most distinctive stretches of Western Sicily. The green vegetation slopes gently down to the fine, golden sandy beach and leaves room for the emerald-coloured sea. A riot of colours that will give you memorable emotions.

We stayed here for one night only before heading out of the airport (Palermo Punta Raisi).
The room was fine, had a double bed and one single. A fridge, sink and stovetop, large shower in bathroom and was kept clean. Not the newest of furniture and bedding but once again clean. We had a good rate for the hotel and there were two pools (one adult one childrens) that were nice and clean. The dining room and terrace area were large with nice views. Breakfast was continental and good/filling buffet. There is a snack bar/american bar serving sandwiches, patries, soft drinks and alcohol as well as grantias and ice cream etc. all day. Prices were of course a little steeper but with your own fridge and stove you could easily save some money with regular groceries. We did not visit the spa but heard it was very good. The children's play park left a little to be desired and that would be the only fault - a bit delapidated! There is a small 'gift' shop which also has souveniers, cigarettes, candy etc.
Nice tennis courts, great walking area, private beach front with umbrellas/lilo's for free. A taxi ride is 30 euro and about ten minutes down the road to the airport. Good for early morning flights.
Would stay here again for early flights but it is out of Palermo itself so not recommended if you wish to see the sights otherwise you will be paying out a lot for transport (unless you have your own car). If I was visiting Palermo I would stay downtown as the bus and train transport is very cheap and easy to use.

Spend one night before the early morning flyght. Get the room in 5 minites and run to the sea. The beach is with sand but there were waves and wind so the sea was dirty. Anyway the site for spend a night before the flyght is perfect - 8 km to the airport and the beach. Also the hotel has a pool but I prefer the sea. Room was old, old furniture, there is a tv, but I watched F1 into the bar area. At the dinner they had a buffet but with the price of 30 euros. In the evening I ordered the taxi at the reception and asked it to be with credit card payable. In the morning there was a car, but with cash payment. The man on the reception didn`t know anything, so the bankomat machine in the hotel didn`t work. So cash I found at the airport and I think next time I never will come to this bad service hotel

If what you are looking for is an ideal location close to Palermo airport, then this hotel is ideal, being only 15 minutes away. The rooms are clean and comfortable, there is a convenient self service restaurant where the food is good with an excellent selection. So for a one night stay if you are on the move, this ticks all the boxes.

What you may not realise is that the place is a popular holiday hotel for those who seek entertainment. We found the place noisy. An evening drink overlooking the sea was spoilt by some sort of quiz for the benefit of French guests at full volume and later there was loud music audible in our room. If that is what you want, fine, but it was not what we expected.

One complaint. It is normal surely to provide guests with drinking water in their room. We asked, but were forced to buy a bottle with plastic cups. They would not even give a glass of water in the bar. A hotel of this nature should surely be doing better on this score.

We selected this place for an overnight before flying out of Palermo. We chose it because it is located at the end of the runway. However, the taxi to and from the airport cost 45 and 40 euros which was the same cost as the hotel. There is no airport shuttle except these private taxis. You're stuck.
Nevertheless, the hotel was spacious, comfortable and with lovely outdoor areas. Although we didn't use the facilities, it would probably be good for families.

I was flying out of Palermo in the morning and knew a spot in downtown Palermo would be out of the question as I was also returning a rental car.
This is a resort property reminiscent of properties in the Catskills. It would be a nice place to stay for several days. As an overnight place, a bit disappointing.
Room was comfortable. A bit antiquated but certainly serviceable. It seemed twenty years out of date. Again - as a resort it would be a nice get away. As an over-nighter - not ideal.
It is a bit difficult to get to. Direction signs stopped before I arrived at the hotel. Suggest using a GPS and print out directions in advance.
There is free wi-fi but it is only available in the main building.
The night I was there (a Saturday), a buffet was available for dinner for 25euro. Instead, I had 6euro sandwich at the bar.
All the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. I received impeccable instructions on reaching the airport.
My regret is that I never had an opportunity to use the bar or the beach

We booked this holiday independently and stayed at this hotel for a fortnights holiday at the end of July with our nearly 5 year old daughter and 11 month old baby. I would describe this resort as going back in time to 1970's Butlins Holiday Camp.

The hotel is very close to the airport and the local taxi firm will charge about 40 euros to get you there, a little bit steep but what can you do? The Reception area is pleasant enough but somewhat dated - we had high hopes. We were then lead to our room-our hearts sank. The room is separated into two living quarters plus the bathroom. The air-conditioning unit was old and did not pump out sufficient cool air and was located in the main part of the bedroom which meant the other living area and the bathroom did not get any cool area at all. It was a very bizarre feeling going into the different temperatures at each side. There is a TV but no English speaking channels. There is a flat screen TV in the bar area which has sky TV but you will need to ask the bar staff to access it.

The bathroom had an unfortunate smell of being old and the toilet cubicles were stained. The cleaning staff did their best to clean it but I think it just needed replacing. There is no bath just a shower which leaked and the flooring in the shower were very slippery.

Included in the holiday was breakfast, lunch and dinner. The choice at breakfast is very disappointing - starts and ends very early (09.30). Lunch is a buffet and was far better in choice than dinner. The whole dining expierience was a little tiresome after a couple of days as it is a bit of the same thing everyday. The food does run out quite quickly and the staff do manage to keep on top of things but you may have to go back to wait for it.

Both pools are very good, one being a childrens pool next the the mini-club and a very run down childrens play area (beware of the pot holes and stones!!!) Access to the beach is towards the back to the hotel, the private area of the beach is separated only by a rope from the public beach. There are parasols and sun loungers provided. Please note that this hotel does not provide you with pool towels, you will have to bring your own.

The nearest village is Terrasini which is about a 20-25 minutes walk from the hotel. There is a little cafe which sells bottled water and beach towels as you turn right outside of the hotel. The walk to the village is somewhat different, there are no pavements. Piazza Duomo is where the main square is and it is best seen at night where everything comes to life. There are restaurants, cafes, bars and a little arts craft market located off the main square. Arabesque Restaurant (via V Madonie) is definately one of the best restaurant in the village, gets very busy and opens at 8pm.

The staff are very good and very friendly but the whole resort needs serious updating and modernising. The current website is very dated and dont bank on the rooms and pictures to give you an accurate picture of what it is like.

I think one week would have been enough at this resort but two weeks was torture and could not wait to leave. I will have two lasting memories of this holiday - the awful room and the hideous song that the entertainment staff sing and dance to twice everyday.

Good hotel, the rooms are clean and spacious enough, nice very clean bathroom. Nice swimming pool, never too crowded, and near the beach. The food was good and the staff very friendly and helpfull. The only thing I didn't like about this hotel was that it's full of French people, mostly arrogant and unpolite (especially towards the staff) and not even trying to speak 1 word of Italian! Part of the animation team was French and didn't seam to care about non-French tourists. The Italian guys of "animazione were very extremely friendly to overybody. Anyway after France lost the world cup finale (soccer) against Italy the French suddenly became much quiter :). Grazie Italia ;)

For us the Florio Park Hotel was a clean, comfortable and highly convenient place to stay on our final night in Sicily, prior to catching an early morning flight out of Palermo.

Pluses are its proximity to the airport, (just 12 minutes by car), its secure parking, its huge pool and surrounding sundeck area, and its very reasonable pricing.

The minuses for us were the distance of our room from both the hotel reception and from the nearest place at which we could unload and load our car. We had heavy luggage, so that mattered. And secondly the evening dining arrangements. Couples such as ourselves, and also families with young children, seemed to be in the minority. The hotel’s main target market appeared to us to be tour groups of senior citizens from mainland Italy and France. The buffet-style dinner was rather a bun-fight.

We enjoyed our brief stay at the Florio Park, even though we found it a rather odd mix of styles, of the contemporary and the dated, and of the friendly and the rather impersonal - a cross between a modern, resort-style hotel complex, and what might best be described as a ‘seaside holiday camp’ for seniors.

Despite such shortcomings, we much appreciated the pool and the value, so would happily stay at the Florio Park again.

We chose this because it was our last night and close to the airport. It might be close, but still it cost 40 Euros each way by taxi. The place smelled of smoke and seemed to be catering to extreme budget travelers. The restaurant on property was buffet only, where you could obtain horrible wine and the food was garbage. The only thing I liked was leaving at 6:00 AM with all the tour buses.

Mr. Vladmn, you surely have been to a different hotel, because we receive every day many positive comments on our kitchen... We do serve at buffet but with several choices of hot & cold starters, first courses, second courses, vegetables, fruit and dessert. Sicilian wines are worldly known as excellent wines and so are ours. In fact all our clients (about 400 daily) are enthusiastic about both food and wine. You say the hotel smells of smoke but??? all our rooms and commune areas are non smoking!! so it is most probable that you messed up with another hotel... We invite you to visit for real our hotel and you will taste yourself our quality!

We stayed at 7 hotels on a recent trip to Sicily and Sardinia. Every one was great except for this one. When we checked in, we were told a bellhop would help us find our room or we could find it by ourselves. We weren't offered a property map. No bellhop appeared after awhile, so we tried to find our room ourselves. How hard could that be, right? We drove our car out from the lobby and there were no clear signs where to park. We found our way to the back of the hotel and spent 10 minutes trying to find our rooms.

Check out the photos of the building and windows. (It's dark because we left for our flight before 5am.) The building was early Soviet-prison style. There were steel bars on the windows. Before the manager responses to this review saying we are lying, check out my photos I've posted of the building and the window. The manager can't say these photos are not true unless he lies. You can't take legal action against someone when they post the truth.

When we checked in, we were told there was only Wifi in the lobby. But i noticed a wifi hotspot outside our room. From reading these reviews, I've learned that we could have paid for wifi, but we didn't try it because we were told it wasn't in the rooms.

Our room was also located across the street from at least one loud late night disco. Standing outside our door, the music was as loud as a dance floor. Inside, it was a bit quieter, but I could still hear the bass beat from the music. We considered switching rooms or switching hotels, but it was after midnight and we had to get up in a few hours for any early flight. So we decided to just deal with it. It also looked like most of the rooms would be affected by the loud music so what was the point.

The room was decorated in 1970s style furnishings. At least, it was clean.

This isn't the hotel's fault but if you decide to book a room here, check your GPS. Our TomTom GPS directed us to the wrong location, which was down a narrow street and an L-turn that ended in a dead end. It was difficult to back up and turn around.

Jono716, We read with great surprise your review. You struggled to find your room? There are always our bellmen available to accompany guests in the room, if they are not available it is because they are accompanying another customer, and it would be enough to wait a minute. We have more than one parking in the hotel, which are also well indicated, so the fact that you did not know where to park your car looks very strange. You talk about "prison of the Soviet Union" for the alleged (non-existent) "bars" at the window (and for that you will take all legal responsibilities), and says to prove it with your photographs, but what you show in the photographs are simple ROLLING SHUTTERS which, if you should not know, are simple blinds that you can easily open with the cap cord placed next to the opening and all this simply with two fingers!!! The rolling shutters (not bars) are used everywhere in Europe, in homes as in hotels, but maybe in California she had never seen!! In addition, the Wi-Fi issue is very strange, given that we have two connections both free to our customers. The first for the hall and another for the rest of the hotel, both in the rooms, in the swimming pool and in our private beach. Probably you tried to connect with the code reserved for the connection of the hall in your room, and this is why it did not work, it would have been enough to ask the reception that would have solved the problem in a few seconds... Unfortunately, we cannot correspond for private parties outside the structure. On the night that you stayed there was a private party outside the hotel but our rooms are fully soundproofed, however. In this regard, we would be pleased to propose you another room in another position if only you had requested it. Unfortunately you did not realize that at the Hotel almost all our staff speak English correctly and that they would have been able to help with all individual questions that has just listed
