Detailed Reviews
Great cozy place right by de Hoge-Veluwe national Park. As part of a 5 day bike ride this was a two day sleepover with 30km bike in the park and tour of the Kroller-Meuller museum. Service here was great for bikes, very friendly and helpful with a very nice restaurant. breakfast was included and substantial with eggs as requested and a plentiful buffet with good coffee. Small rooms with bathroom attached but more than adequate for two with a balcony and seating for two.

This is a lovely small family run hotel in a great location for access to the Hoge Veluwe Park. Although the room was small we had a balcony with a view. The staff are very friendly and the food served is excellent. Altogether a great little hotel with a village atmosphere.

We had a deluxe room at the ground floor. The room was big, clean and with a lot of privacy. Are dog was also welcome. The staff was friendly and the breakfast good. The hotel is in walking distance from the Hoenderloo entrance of the National Park Hoge Veluwe and within a 2 minute walk you can get a free bike from the National Park. You can park your car for free in front of the hotel.

A bit like a B&B with a restaurant, De Boer en Kinkel is a quaint little place with just a few rooms, exceptionally located for anyone who wants to visit the Hoge Veluwe National Park in Holland.
We stayed in what they call a standard room, which was standard - small, but with bathroom and very clean. The room had a little balcony with chairs which which was very convenient because the weather was glorious to sit outside. Breakfast was good, especially well presented.
The restaurant, though a bit pricey, serves very nice food in a lovely atmosphere. They also have a café area with a simpler and more affordable menu.
Free wi-fi available, but the signal isn't very strong, so internet can be slow and hard to find.
Martine, the owner, is friendly and the staff was overall very welcoming.
Room for improvement: air conditioning and a separator between the balconies of rooms 1 & 2 for a little privacy would be nice additions.

All guests get a key for the locked bycicle parking. Car park is opposite the hotel. Hotel is located very close to the Hoenderloo entrance of National Park De Hoge Veluwe.
We haven’t had breakfast in the hotel, but dinner was very good. The hotel has a great beer selection.
We stayed in a room without air-conditioning. The day temperature was very high, but we had good night rest.
Staff was very friendly.
Good value for money.

The Boer’nkinkel was a highlight of our recent three-week trip to the Netherlands. The inn is fresh and updated, but still charming in a traditional Dutch way. The innkeepers are warm, inviting, and very serious about quality. The food and the accommodations were excellent. We were offered an upgraded room when we arrived, which was spacious, attractive, comfortable, silent, and had its own patio. The room came with four-course meals each night of our stay (not including wine, cocktails, or specialty coffees), and breakfast each morning. The evening meals were superb, with dishes that included mackerel, salmon, leg of roe deer, and entrecote, plus delicious desserts. Breakfast was just as good, with eggs cooked according to your preference, cured meats, cheeses, several types of granola, home-made fruit juice and jam, and absolutely great yogurt made at a local dairy. Besides all this, your setting is the immaculate little town of Hoenderloo, with a horse pasture out front, the east entrance to lovely Hoge Veluwe National Park within sight, and a bus stop to get you anywhere just a short walk from the inn. And there are many enjoyable things to do in the area, including the Open Air Museum in Arnhem, the Kroller-Muller Museum and Jachthuis Sint-Hubertus (not to mention ideal cycling and strolling) in the Veluwe, and the Apenheul in nearby Apeldoorn. Best of all, though, were the Boer’nkinkel staff, all of whom treated us with such care and kindness that we hated to leave, and hope to return someday soon.

A kinkel is really a rustic fellow, and a boer is a farmer. The term boer'nkinkel is generally not a compliment, it means a rough, rude peasant. However, this certainly says nothing about the place. The staff is super friendly and the food is very good. I've visited it several times in the past and came back here a few days ago. Great place, and reasonable prices.

We went for a walk through the little town of Hoenderloo looking for a place to have coffee. This staff of this small hotel were friendly and very helpful. The ambience of the restaurant added to the peacefulness of Hoenderloo. We think it would be nice to go back for a stay in the hotel.

We stayed for a long weekend with 2 girls aged 9 and 10 plus 2 parents and grandparents. With the family room for 4 and another room for 2 the accommodation was basic but good with nice spacious bathrooms.
But the 2 things that make this place stand out are the location and the restaurant.
You are a stone's throw away from the entrance to the beautiful Hoge Veluwe park and the restaurant is very good without being pompous. It simply feels good to sit and eat.

We crossed the road coming from the National Park Hoge Veluwe, after a long day in the park. Looking for a place to eat we stopped at the Boer'n Kinkel because it looked pleasant from the outside. We were welcomed and although the place was already full it was no problem to rearrange the tables to fit us in. Very friendly and very relaxed service. The menu was not excessive but well chosen. The food we ordered was a treat. We enjoyed eating here and will come back when we are in the neighbourhood.
