We had a few very nice pampering days at Hotel Oranjeoord. A beautiful room with a nice terrace. A charming restaurant with nice employees and delicious food! Dinner was great and breakfast was also great! It is also a beautiful location for cycling through the woods to Het Loo Palace, which is very beautiful. We are very curious about how the wood chips that have recently been dumped around the hotel and on the terraces will hold up.

Hotel is beautifully and quietly located.
The rooms are dated, small, basic and fairly clean. Balcony is not kept clean, very much overdue maintenance.
We found the cleaning in and around the hotel below par. The wood chips on the terraces were not such a success either..
Dinner was absolutely fine, good food. Staff in restaurant also friendly.
We can't say that about the lady at reception. Not a word of welcome, chat is ragged, not a nice impression. Not even on departure by the way, nothing is asked if you liked it, pay and get out!
What hospitality and customer friendliness is, I think this lady still needs to learn!
Breakfast was fine in itself, is only refilled late. Coffee machine kept malfunctioning. Also the tables were not cleared, so some guests went to clean up themselves to eat...
Looked very unsociable too, all that junk on the tables. You really can't.
All in all, not recommended we found.

Too bad about the hotel being so nicely located. Very moderate room, daylight through a skylight that was extremely dirty. Embezzlement had to be done with a stick. A toilet bowl that was not stuck, breakfast that was not refilled and very uninterested staff.
Our room was not even cleaned day 2. Too bad about a few days, where we enjoyed the beautiful flowering heather fields!

We stayed here with family members and rented 2 rooms for 2 nights. The front desk staff is polite but not friendly looking, rather too serious or looks bothered. In the room you can hear all the noises from next door rooms or hallway. All rooms have loud shutting doors which causes disturbance every time someone enter or exit their room. We also noticed there are 2 small bags of earplugs included with the bathroom kit. Most likely the hotel is aware of the noise problem on their premises. The room seems not well functional or in need of maintenance. The bathroom trash can seems to be broken, foot pedal is broken. Toilet doesn’t flush well and takes for ever to refill with water again and makes loud noise while refilling. This is annoying in the middle of the night. Lastly and the biggest problem we had that was a turn off is with their heating system. Our stay was on December 2022 which is a cold month. First night we woke up at 1:30 am shaking from cold. When we checked the room’s 2 heating radiators, they were cold indicating they were turned off. We didn’t turn them off and we before sleep we set their temperature to high, yet they were completely shut off remotely from somewhere in the hotel that is out of our control and reach. Also there was no front desk help at late hours. Due to us being cold, we couldn’t sleep and can confirm the heating system was turned off from midnight until 8:30 on the morning. The next morning at 9:00 am we complained to the front desk and she said she has no idea how the heating system works in the hotel and it’s out of her control. She offered us extra blankets to help us sleep better the 2nd night. We didn’t receive these blankets until 4:30 pm that day. We endured another cold night even with extra blankets. The heating system was turned off at the exact time as the night before. When you go on vacation, you need to enjoy a good sleeping night to enjoy outdoors and activities during the day, unfortunately we felt this was not possible at this hotel with cold temperature and loud noises. Not worth it for us to return here again and would not recommend this place.

I got a voucher for this hotel as a gift from a friend . I got room 37 at the second floor. It was at the back of the hotel and had a view of the kitchen and suction apparatus. There was a barbecue event so our whole room and our clothes had a barbecue smell.
The room was very small: across the room there was only space for a bed 160 metres and a cupboard. Room was clean, no reading lights at the bed. The bathroom had no amenities at all. I asked for a hairdryer and the reception said they lend all the hairdryers out. The staff from the reception was friendly but also needs to work in the restaurant. So if you need something you have to go to the restaurant. Breakfast was ok.

I found a great bargain and made a booking and prepayment for two nights including breakfast. Unfortunately, I got ill the day of my departure. I called the hotel and asked if they would be kind enough to move my reservation to another date. The answer was clear: the terms and conditions do not oblige them to reimburse or change dates, so nothing would be offered. Annoying to lose the entire amount because of zero customers service.

We stayed here for just one night,me my wife and our two kids. The hotel is located in a very, very quiet surrounding with nice and friendly service. The rooms are clean and basic. There are two negative things about this hotel, the breakfast was good and tastfull but for a hotel not enough variety to shoose from and the balcony that was on our room should be renovated because of the wooden screens that clearly were fading away because they were rotten. This could be a realy good hotel but it surely needs to be renovated at some points.

This hotel has some issues wich are not taken seriously as we found out during our stay (see also Zoover for details).

We received a warm welcome but didn't had any high expectations.
We booked a Deluxe room wich was located in the back of the hotel. When we entered the room I had the feeling I stepped back in time or being back in Budapest during the 1980's.
The room didn't had the looks of a Deluxe and the bathroom was very tiny, you couldn't sit straight on the toilet unless you where a child. The carpet had stains on it and didn't look very proper to me. The beds were quite allright but that's about it. Later we found out that there are proper Deluxe rooms in the hotel located on the frontside, but all where taken.

We filed our complaints at the reception and they took our complaint seriously. However they didn't came forward with any compensation or what so ever. We were very dissapointed!

The hotel has a good restaurant, but even at Christmas they were capable to mess that up aswell. Some of the courses didn't went very well and we had to wait very long between the courses of Christmas dinner. Overall the quality of the food is very good but bear in mind that they have a Gault Milleau recommendation!
The breakfast was ok but don't expect to much of it.

Will I stay here again? Probably not unless they promise to better them selfs with a proven result!

Nice location, good food. But the rooms are far below what you would expect for the price: very (!) small, no hair dryer, no paper cleaning tissues in the bathroom. And you wonder who installed the lights in the bathroom: you can hardly recognize yourself in the mirror because there is only a weak light on the ceiiling. Finally: you hear the slightest noise in the neighbouring room (well, in our room at least).
